Q:   Can I get into Dravidian University if I have scored just 60% in 10th and 70% in 12th?
A: 

Dravidian University offers MBA and MCA courses based on APICET scores. With 60 and 70 percentile in 10th and 12th, it is easily possible to get into Dravidian University. Although, there is no such criteria to attain a specific percentage. However, it is mandatory for the candidates to do complete their UG degree with 50% passing marks in any discipline from the UGC recognised university. For more detailed-wise eligibility criteria, candidates need to check out below:

  • As per the APICET eligibility criteria 2025 candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme should have studied and passed the three- or four-year degree course in any discipline conducted by the university or recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC).
  • Candidates with aggregate marks of 50% (45% in the case of reserved categories – SC, ST and BC) are alone eligible to take admission through APICET. 
  • The qualifying Degree obtained by the Distance Mode Program should be recognised by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE, and DEC/DEB. 
  • The candidates who are appearing for the final year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for Andhra Pradesh ICET-2025.

In 2024, as per the APICET cutoff, the minimum rank to get admission at Vignan's Institute of Information Technology for MBA course stood at 34287 for the General Home State category candidates. With 20k rank, candidates can get admission to below available colleges for MBA courses.

Really good infrastructure and talented professors.
Placements: The university does not have a placements cell, but the management is bringing in some startup companies and conducting job campaigns, especially for teaching positions. There is talk that a campus placements cell will be established soon.
Infrastructure: The university campus and library have beautiful gardening that adds to the official and beautiful look of the university. Our lab is well constructed with fully functioning systems for the students. Hostel rooms are very good compared to other government university hostels. The food is typically Chennai style, which took me months to get used to. Except for the curries, all the breakfast foods like idly, puri, and chapathi are delicious, just like restaurant food. We have NCC here in the university, and there are many sports events.
Faculty: All of our professors are excellent at their subjects and every class is conducted entirely in English. They really help us to understand the subject matter by using simple English. They are true professionals with a wealth of knowledge and are always willing to help students. Our head of department is also very concerned about the students' careers and takes a personal interest in each student's success. The semester exams are challenging for those who don't study, but easy for those who study regularly. The pass percentage of our class is 95%.
Other: I have studied BCA in My graduation, so I decided to join the MCA course at this university. I really like the talented faculty here. The campus is beautiful and peaceful, and I didn't have to pay tuition since I got a free seat after cracking the ICET exam. However, I didn't connect well with the other students here, and I didn't like that there were no festive day celebrations.

A review about Dravidian University.
Placements: This college has a good base for the MCA students. It provides a good placements rate. It provides multiple placement drives until students get placed (if the students are good at academics). 70% students get placed from this course. The highest package offered was 45 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college has a dedicated floor block for each department along with various laboratories available in the campus. A canteen is provided having a good ambience and serving tasty food. Quality of the infrastructure is good. The surroundings of the campus are neat and clean and managed everyday.
Faculty: The faculty teaches excellent concepts with good explanations. Every teacher is subject friendly with the students and clears the doubts without any frustration. Seminars and yearly projects are done which are guided by the concerned faculty. The passing percentage is 70%.

Infrastructure and placements are good.
Placements: The placements scenario is good. Companies such as Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HDFC, TCS, etc. visit our college for placements. Remaining people are interested in higher studies; if you are capable, you will get a good core job with an awesome package.
Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, a library with a huge collection of books, swimming pool, grass court for football, gym, etc. The college has good Wi-Fi facility and classrooms are also good. The hostel facility has good canteen, but food is somewhat average.
Faculty: The semester exams are always found to be a little difficult, so the students need to study well by themselves. Faculty members in our college are experienced, well trained and helpful to students in gaining knowledge. The course curriculum is updated regularly.

When you want to live peacefully with education just join this university blindly.
Placements: In our course, 50% of students join the course. In any course average. The basic pay is 15k. This is a government organised university. Low placements are done. One will gain unlimited knowledge in the university.
Infrastructure: This hostel was maintained by university students. Some contractor laborers also helped in mess maintenance. We come out for food it was comfortable with the local people. New personalities of the area they will take to adjust for food, need not worry Kuppam is a near city at university.
Faculty: Everyone is regular staff so we need not worry. Technology is also used at the maximum level thanks to the corona pandemic is increasing technology adaptation. After completing this course you are eligible for to write government jobs. The average percentage is 90.
Other: There is less crowd on campus at the PG level, in the UG level maximum seats were filled.

It has very good infrastructure, but I am dissatisfied with sports and academic dean office.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students took admission in our college. There is an issue as there is no campus in our college. Our college fee is Rs 12,500, but the government approved Rs. 25,000 for both self and regular students. There are no job offers on our campus. There are no offers from IT companies to recruit students. Our college does not even provide placements and internships for students.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our course are very good and attractive. The library is very good and huge, with many books. They issue an ID card to take books to the hostel. Our college hostel is very good with 24x7 water, current and Wi-Fi facilities. Quality of food is good because it is a student management hostel. Canteen is not good, but medical facilities are also not bad. They give very less priority for sports and games.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are very helpful to students and very supportive. Some professors are well-qualified and well-knowledgeable, but some professors are very less knowledgeable in their subjects. Knowledgeable professors are very good at teaching, and unknowledgeable professors are maintaining students. This course curriculum is relevant, but students are not proper to learn the subject. They want to enjoy life, and some does not even think of their future.

It is a good university but I am dissatisfied with the faculty and placements.
Placements: No placement is provided here and no awareness about the subjects. Classes were held just for 1 month. I have never ever seen such a university with no facility.
Infrastructure: The infra is good but not properly managed by the students and faculty. Labs, Wi-Fi, library, etc. are there but they are of no use as there is no proper guidance.
Faculty: The faculty is not knowledgeable. Only 1-2 faculty members were helpful but most of them are not even aware about the subjects. There is no scope to get industry exposure.
Other: I chose this MBA course for business but there is no knowledgeable teacher in the college. Scholarships and extracurricular activities are there.
