B.Sc. in Radio Imaging Technology - Batch of 2026
3.8

College and the campus are very good, worth every penny.
Placements: The name of DY Patil University on your degree is enough to get a placement anywhere in India. But in my course, we get internships at DY Patil Hospital itself, and it is compulsory for 1 year after that we can join DY Patil or we can search for other places for jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and campus are very good. They have legends cafe in the medicine building. There is a Nescafé in the hospital building. Also, girls and boys hostels are available on the campus. Nearly every type of course is available on the campus so no matter what career you are going to choose you can pursue it here.
Faculty: Teachers are very good. They are very helpful but the other staffs are not. Semester exams are tough, only scholars can pass them. Average students might fail. If you fail once then it is going to be very hard to make a comeback so don't take exams slightly that's it.

B.Sc. in Physician Associate - Batch of 2024
3.8
3Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
It is a good college for study and extracurricular activities.
Placements: B.Sc. in Physician Associate course is a recently introduced course with a limited number of colleges offering it currently. One can join a private or government hospital as an assistant physician after graduation. Students do internships for 1 year after 3 years of course completion in the same college. The stipend given is zero but one can earn by joining a clinic or hospital side by side to a decent amount.
Infrastructure: The university has a huge campus, providing all the basic to great amenities here. It has Wi-Fi for every department. Labs are well-developed. Anatomy dissection halls are well-maintained and dissection is carried out for the medical courses as it requires. Classrooms are very spacious with projectors, whiteboards, and all other teaching facilities. The hostel has good infrastructure. It has 3-4 different canteens on the campus. It has sports and games fields, and equipment is well-maintained. Cricket and football grounds are provided. The library has reading halls with all the academic course books.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified here with very polite and helpful non-teaching staff members too. Their teaching is decent. The course curriculum is designed to make a good scope in the medical field. There are two semesters and a final exam with unit tests being conducted in between semesters. The difficulty level is moderate to hard.
Other: Every year grand annual and fest celebrations are conducted. Intercollege sports competitions are also being conducted here.

B.Tech. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2028

3Placements2Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Review for DY Patil School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.
Placements: The highest package offered was forty Lacs per annum, and the average package after the college is 4 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies for this course are Transasia Biomedical Ltd., IKS Health, and Himedia Labs. The top roles offered in this course are mostly as interns, as internship is a compulsory part of the 7th and 8th semester syllabus. 100% of the students get internships in the 7th and 8th semesters.
Infrastructure: The campus and facilities are not much and are very average. The library, canteen, reading room, labs, and the general infrastructure of the building are subpar. Sports and games are promoted a lot, and the seniors are very helpful and motivate others to take part in the events. The food in the canteen is very average, with only 2-3 items that are regularly ordered from there, like vada pav, noodles, and cold coffee.
Faculty: The teaching faculty is average and does not teach as per the hours assigned to each of the modules. Hence, the semester 1 final examination had to be postponed, causing a lot of stress among the semester 1 students. The course curriculum is relevant. The syllabus is interesting and useful in the real world. The semester exams are moderately tough and can be passed with a decent amount of studies. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course as I was always interested in Biology but did not want to go into medicine, and this college was close to my residence and hence, convenient for me. The campus can be greatly improved as it is very unimpressive compared to the DY Patil, Nerul campus, and even compared to an average college campus. There are a lot of events and fests, which is a great thing. The seniors are very motivating and supportive. The campus surroundings are good as there are a lot of restaurants to visit and many hangout spots.

Integrated M.Sc. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2027
1.6
1Placements2Infrastructure2Faculty1Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this college to other students.
Placements: They promise placements at the time of admission, but during the course, they fail to provide proper information or update regarding placement opportunities. Placement cell is poorly organized, and there is minimal involvement in connecting students with potential employers. The chances of getting placed are very low, as the college lacks strong ties with reputed companies or industries, especially in the field of integrated M.Sc. Biotechnology.
Infrastructure: College does not have a hostel, but classrooms are good. Lab facilities are available, but some chemical and media in the lab are expired, which raise safety and quality concerns. Canteen is small and often crowded, making it convenient for students. Additionally, campus lacks proper recreational areas and adequate parking facilities.
Faculty: Exams are quite tough, with two external examiners overseeing the process, and the examination pattern is challenging. However, faculty members are highly skilled. Their teaching is excellent, making it easier for students to understand complex concepts. Despite the tough exams, the guidance provided by faculty members helps students prepare effectively.
Other: I chose biotechnology because offering solutions to real-world problems in fields like healthcare, agriculture, and environmental sustainability. This course provides opportunities to work on groundbreaking innovations like genetic engineering, drug development, and sustainable farming. College has only one building, and the space in front of it is limited, which restricts the area available for events. Despite this, events like Species are conducted occasionally. I'm part of the drama club Jaiwarangaytan, but unfortunately, college does not provide adequate funding for our drama or allocate a proper space for practice. This lack of support hinders extracurricular activities significantly.

B.Sc. in Physician Associate - Batch of 2028
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Insights of DY Patil University of Allied Health Science.
Placements: Above 50% in 12 Science, the highest paying package offered was 9 lacs per annum. A physician associate can work in different healthcare sectors which will give them experience, which will help them get the highest-paying job. A physician associate can work under a professional physician, just like a junior doctor.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, like the campus of the college, is very good. The classrooms are also in good condition. The hostels are quite expensive, like three to four lakhs per year for four students. There are many cafe options for students. The mess/canteen is also good. Sports and games are held at an above-average level, around 4.5 out of 5.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also nice. Some students from different streams may have some basic problems in the first year, but the first year is all about basics, so they don’t have to worry. Semester exams are going to be tough. There are actually 3 exams: the first, second unit, and the last university exam.

B.Tech. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2028

It is a decent option for biotechnology engineering in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai.
Placements: There are many companies for placement, but most students opt for a Master's degree, as biotechnology is a field of research. The average salary package placement here is 3 LPA-5 LPA. If expecting more, then don't, but it also depends on the individual. Roles are usually research-based or in data analysis, etc.
Infrastructure: Labs are pretty good. Hostel facilities are not available, but many students live in PGs, so you'll always find people to live with, which is fine. Canteen food is okay, students can't expect much from a canteen. I wish the classrooms had air-conditioners, though.
Faculty: Faculty members are mostly good, and curriculum is also quite nice. I like how diverse all the subjects are. However, first year can be a bit annoying, as there are subjects like Physics, Electronics, Maths, etc. Since it’s an engineering degree, that’s understandable. Rest is fine.
Other: Fests and events are held annually, and they are all pretty good. I’m looking forward to attending many of them after January.
