GNIT IPU is a constituent unit of GN Group of Institutes. The institute offers a four-year BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE). The course duration is further divided into eight semesters. The first-year curriculum followed for BTech in CSE is common for all specialisations. IPU CET (BTech) follows an NCERT-based syllabus covering Class 11 and 12 topics, whereas JEE Main includes NCERT concepts along with advanced topics. The question type in IPU CET is mostly conceptual and application-based, while JEE Main requires more analytical and problem-solving skills. In terms of difficulty level, IPU CET is considered moderate, whereas JEE Main is significantly more challenging. The competition level in IPU CET is also lower, as it is limited to admissions in GGSIPU-affiliated colleges, whereas JEE Main is a national-level exam with extremely high competition for NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs. Both exams follow a similar negative marking scheme, with -1 mark deducted for every wrong answer. Additionally, both exams are conducted in an online mode, with JEE Main being a computer-based test (CBT).

Candidates need to complete their Class 12 or a equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate with English along with Mathematics or Computer Science or any other subject related to Computer Science to apply for BCA at GGSIPU. Hence, it is not mandatory to pass Mathematics. However, candidate must have passed one or other specified subjects in Class 12. Besides, aspirants who have passed a three-year Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for the BCA programme.

GGSIPU considers the *Common Rank List (CRL) rank* for JEE Mains counseling, not the category rank. However, reserved category candidates can get benefits during seat allotment based on their category. It's best to check the official GGSIPU admission guidelines for confirmation.

Aspirants are offered admission in MCA and MCA (Software Engineering) based on NIMCET, CET or CUET scores. GGSIPU considers NIMCET scores for first level of selection. In case the seats remain vacant after admission via NIMCET counselling, the university considers CET scores. The vacant seats after exhausting the merit list of CET are filled through the merit list of CUET. The applicants, if admitted, may have to study additional bridge courses as per the norms of the university. Selected candidates must pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

To get admission to MD course at GGSIPU, candidate must have attained a valid rank in NEET PG. If you belong to the General AI category, then you can get admission to the college if your rank is below 60874. GGSIPU AYUSH cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to BAMS and BHMS courses. The last round closing ranks for the General AI category candidates were 37435 and 110826 for BAMS and BHMS, respectively. Thus, the General AI category candidates can get admission to the college with 50000 rank in AYUSH. However, at this rank, candidate can get admission to BAMS but not BHMS.
