Candidates need to complete their Class 12 or a equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate with English along with Mathematics or Computer Science or any other subject related to Computer Science to apply for BCA at GGSIPU. Hence, it is not mandatory to pass Mathematics. However, candidate must have passed one or other specified subjects in Class 12. Besides, aspirants who have passed a three-year Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for the BCA programme.

IPU CET (BTech) follows an NCERT-based syllabus covering Class 11 and 12 topics, whereas JEE Main includes NCERT concepts along with advanced topics. The question type in IPU CET is mostly conceptual and application-based, while JEE Main requires more analytical and problem-solving skills. In terms of difficulty level, IPU CET is considered moderate, whereas JEE Main is significantly more challenging.
