- The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST) from a University established by law in India, with Mathematics at +2 level.
- The admission to MCA course will be made on the basis of merit of the Entrance Examination (written test) conducted by H.P. University.
- The written test will consist of one paper of 130 marks and of 2 hours duration and shall include the following four sections: General logical ability & aptitude, Mathematics of +2 level, Basics of Computers and its Awareness, and General English.
- The minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Examination (written test) for subsidized as well as non-subsidized seats will be 35% i.e. 46 marks out of total of 130 marks & no minimum qualifying marks limit in case of SC/ST.
- Maximum age limit for admission to MCA course is 26 years for general category, 29 years for SC/ST category and 28 years for girl candidates, as on the 1st July of the year concerned.
- The fee structure for subsidized and non-subsidized seats is different, with subsidized seats having a lower fee.
