Review of UIT Shimla from a student.

Placements: Only a handful of students, around seven, get selected from Civil and Electrical Engineering. However, if you are opting for CSE or IT, almost all students get placed, except a few. It is mainly a college for IT and CSE professions. The highest package is around 14 LPA, and the lowest is around 4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and some local brands recruit students. Around 11–15% of students get internships if they apply. I cannot think of any top roles from my branch, but most students from Ci...

Review for Bachelor's of Vocational Studies in Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Placements: Students got internships in such brands as IHCL, ITC, The MS group, Club Mahindra, Oberoi, Radisson, etc. The experience led them on a journey of becoming the upcoming hoteliers and probably the leaders they deserve to become one day after all this training.

Our college does not provide best opportunities for students in placements.

Placements: Students got placed from 20 to 30 percent. The highest package is around 4 LPA, and the lowest 1 LPA. The average package offered in my course is around 1.5 LPA. I don't know the company exactly. The percentage of students who got internships from our course is around 50% or less.

Great campus and infrastructure, but bad transport facilities and weak placements.

Placements: My course B.Sc. Hons Microbiology is a 4-year programme. There 12 students in my class. As for package, the placement center is quite weak for my course, so I am not sure. Getting an internship is as simple as getting a letter of recommendation from one of the teachers and submitting it to your desired institute for an internship. The university plays no role in it more than. Once you graduate from this course, you can go into research or join pharma companies, clinical practices, or food qualit...

Absolutely satisfied with the overall performance of the university.

Placements: Well, there are not so many options for internships and placements. Being a master's degree holder in arts, I have limited options such as doing Ph.D. and preparing for college care. But otherwise, if you're in any professional course, then the chances of placement and internship are higher. Students got to practice and refine their skills in the department. Many conferences are happening in the university, and students get to present papers there for free most of the time. Different departments...

Good faculty, peaceful environment, and campus.

Placements: Around 60-70% of students were placed from our college. Placements are mostly related to research, museums, heritage, management teaching, and tourism sectors. The highest package offered was around 6 LPA. Top recruiting organisations included Archaeology Survey of India, museums, private heritage companies, the tourism department, and other sectors.
