All about Indira Gandhi National Tribal university Biotechnology department 2025 !
Placements: About placements, our university does not provide placements to any course students, we do have a placement cell in our university but it is not working yet. None of the senior passout students (0%) were placed by the university. Because we don't get placed no the highest or the lowest package ! No recruiting companies come in this university. About the internship it's the students (60%) wish from where he/she wants to do it from, many of my seniors did their internship from other university labs and some did from biotech companies. M.Sc. Ph.D. Lab technician, Assistant professor, Scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure provided here is good, we have Wi-Fi connectivity all around the campus even in our hostels, the labs in our department are top notch equipped with all the best machines and instruments. The library is a central library which consists of a variety of books very good and has facilities to study and also has a computer section for the students. The overall quality of the hostel is good we have Wi-Fi facility, clean bathroom and toilets, we have 5 canteens and a sports complex which has a variety of games and also have a medical dispensary.
Faculty: We have decent faculty members in our department, all the professors are Ph.D. holders and fully qualified for their job, they are offcourse knowledgeable and have a high quality of teaching experience. Yes the course curriculum is relevant and it does makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are not that tough almost all the students pass (90%). .
Other: This course offers a lab job that's why I selected this course. The faculty members are less I wish our department had more professors. There is always an event during every festivals, we celebrates all the festivals together, for extracurricular activities we have NSS, NCC, etc. The surrounding of this university is very peaceful since it is located on top of a mountains, we have decent crowd in university not like city but good.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) - Batch of 2027
3.6

There is good faculty. They are very knowledgeable. It has nice environment, pollution-free.
Placements: Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak has no placement for any course. They only provide internships for some departments but not for pharmacy. In pharmacy department during the time of bachelor they provide project work in 4th semester. Placements are average and limited campus recruitment which is better for pharmacy/IT than arts/general.
Infrastructure: Campus is spread over 300+ acres, green, and peaceful environment. It has modern classrooms, central library, computer centre, science and IT labs, research centres, sports facilities, and auditorium. It has separate hostels for boys and girls. Rooms are generally shared (2-3 students). Facilities like mess, Wi-Fi, water, electricity, common rooms, indoor games, and security are available. Fees are affordable (Rs 5,000 - Rs 10,000 per year, and mess extra). It has decent infrastructure including library, labs, hostels, sports ground, auditorium. It has limited urban facilities. There are few restaurants, malls, or companies nearby.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced in pharmaceutics, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and biotechnology. Curriculum is 4-year (8-semesters) course as per PCI norms, covering subjects like pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, medicinal chemistry biotechnology, with lab work, projects, and internship. The semester system has internal assessment and end-semester exams. Admission requires through CUET-UG, eligibility 10+2 with PCB/PCM (min 50% for gen, 45% for reserved). Courses offer UG, PG, Ph.D. programs in social sciences, humanities, science, commerce, management, IT, education, and tribal studies. Faculty members are qualified. They are good in pharmacy, social sciences, tribal studies, and computer science. Here, research and exposure are limited, not as strong as DU/BHU/JNU for research collaborations.
Other: Central University is established by Parliament, and the degree is valid across India. It is situated in Amarkantak, far from big cities, with limited city exposure. The fee is low, much cheaper than private universities (B. Pharma 1 LPA total, arts/science even less).

M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Placements: The chances for exploring various fields such as a journalist, content creator, editor, and digital promoter. They create opportunities in various networks such as Times group, Zee network, Hindustan Times, and offer various intern experiences with a good stipend. This will allow us to take further job promotions.
Faculty: Teachers are talented in making the syllabus more compact and easier. Helps the students by providing relatable ideas, captured from real-time experiences in the field of study. Teachers support the intern work experiences by sharing positive and encouraging feedback.
Other: They are planning all the courses in affordable fee structures, and it's a budget-friendly college. Tight security with 24/7 emergency response and highly privileged. To entertain students, some fun activities are initiated in the hostel zones, which help relieve unnecessary stress.

Good infrastructure and sports facilities. It has the best faculty members.
Placements: Placement is offered by the college but only 2-3 students get selected. Only 5% to 6% of students get selected. Highest package is 10 LPA, and lowest is 1 LPA - 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS and Wipro. Mostly students got internships in local companies. Some will get internships from Google, NDTV, and Adobe.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent. Facilities are top-notch from top universities with great knowledge and supportive in nature. Available features are library, Wi-Fi, and labs with latest technology. Quality of food is average but not so good. Medical and sports facilities are good and well-maintained. There is a separate sports complex for gym, games, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified from IIT. They are knowledgeable and have excellent knowledge. Course is updated throughout the year, relatable to latest technology and demand and practical knowledge is provided through the lab. Exams are mostly easy. Pass percentage is 40%.
Other: This course makes us industry-ready.

I was satisfied with the placement facility in 2024 and the good infrastructure.
Placements: 70% of students got placed, with an average package offered between 4-8 LPA. Students got internships in different colleges and research institutes.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was available throughout the university, including classrooms, labs, library, hostel, and everywhere on campus (24/7). Facilities were quite good in the hostel, and the food quality was good in both the mess and canteen. Different types of sports were available, and the coaches were well-mannered and used good techniques. Many fests and sports events were organized. A gym was available on campus. Full Wi-Fi access was provided. The canteen food was good, and the hostels were cleaned every Sunday by workers. Bathrooms were also cleaned regularly. Cleanliness was good, and hygienic food was available. Shops for daily needs were available too. Our labs were good, and the professors and lab technicians were kind and explained everything in an easy manner. The department provided all facilities for students to learn every tool and technique.
Faculty: Teachers were well-qualified and experienced, with incredible knowledge. They taught us flawlessly. The course was quite good, and some subjects provided knowledge and labs related to the industrial field. Semesters were hard but not too difficult to pass. About 95% of students passed.
Other: I was interested in this course, which is why I joined it. I loved studying animals, microbiology, and all the subjects I learned. This course helped me improve my knowledge about the surroundings. Events and fests were organized in a well-mannered way, and students enjoyed them. The scholarship was also good.

Our college infrastructure is very good.
Placements: Our batch mates are very good, and one reason for this is that they are psychology students and they understood each other's behavior, due to which we got a lot of support.
Infrastructure: The building is very good. Labs are also well built, but the necessary equipment is very less in them. Similarly, the condition of the hostel and canteen is not very good. There are also medical facilities, etc. In case of emergency, the patient is also taken outside for treatment.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, and the syllabus is completed on time. Classes are also run well. The result is quite good. Classes are conducted properly, and the pass percentage is quite high. Faculty members are very supportive and also organises extra classes during exams if required. Faculty members of our department are very good. Our department teachers also support us a lot, and we share any kind of problem with them without any hesitation.
Other: There are games, etc., in the college, but no special attention is paid to all this. SC, ST, and OBC students also get scholarships. There is also an EWS quota for general category people, due to which they get a lot of support in fee, etc.
