I am not sure about other B-schools but PIBM is a good college. Many of my friends have done an MBA/PGDM from PIBM. They follow practical methods for learning. The curriculum consists of Corporate Interaction, Dual Internships, Live business projects, Industry visits, and so on. During the pandemic, PIBM continued its classes and internships, placement through online mode.

I am not aware of other colleges and about their training pedagogies but as an ex- student of Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM) therefore I can share my personal experience regarding the college. If you want excellent academics and placement. I can say that PIBM is one of the best emerging Management Colleges. I can assure you to join PIBM as it is one of the top B-Schools in India. PIBM accepts CAT, XAT,CMAT, MAT, MH-CET scores. In case if the student has scored less than the accepted score, he or she can appear for PIBM's internal assessment test PMAT. The selection procedure at PIBM pays attention to certain factors like previous academic records, aptitude test, interviews, groups discussion, and work experience. It helps the institute to understand the current level of a student on these parameters, who is taking the admission. So, if you haven't scored good marks in CAT but want to take admission then you can still go ahead with the application process and the college will check your capabilities during the selection process.

I think you should go for PIBM. As per my knowledge, PIBM has unique training methods for PGDM, which align with the latest industry trends. This gives students enough corporate exposure and the curriculum is also regularly updated. For the Finance domain, students are given extensive exposure to analyze:
Company's Financial, Perform Ratio Analysis, Financial Analytics, Financial and Valuation Modeling, Capital Markets, Derivatives, Securities, Hedge Accounting, Fund Accounting, Balance Sheet and cash flow analysis. Students are trained on various tools like Bloomberg, Ace Analyzer, SAP-Fico, Advanced Excel, CISI Certification. For the finance domain, profiles which are offered are Equity Research, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Commercial Credit, Finance Quality Management, Global Taxation, Financial Analysis, Derivatives and Capital Markets, Fund and Wealth Management, Investment Banking.

You need to choose your college wisely, I am not sure of other colleges, as far as I know, PIBM has unique training methods updated and designed as per the industry requirements. They have regular corporate events, IVs, dual internships, and much more. Apart from this, the students undergo special training in communication and aptitude which is quite essential in this competitive corporate world. Even during the pandemic, PIBM ensured that the placements and internship process continues through online mode. All the best!
