The passing marks for Karnataka University varies from one course to another. It also varies every year as the cutoff depends upon factors like number of candidates, the highest marks in the exam, seat intake, etc. In 2021, Karnataka PGCET cutoff for MBA admission was 7905, which was competitive than 2020 (21232). However, for MCA, Karnatak University PGCET cutoff (overall) dropped from 2784 in 2021 to 4128 in 2022.

In order to apply, the eligible candidates need to download the application form through the university website or get the form in offline mode by visiting the university campus. After the release of merit list, selected candidates have to go through counselling for seat allotment.

A scholarship worth Rs. 50,000 is available to students who have passed the Karnataka College of Management's GD&PI and have obtained a score of at least 70% in their degree, 10th, and 12th exams. For students who have passed the Karnataka College of Management's GD&PI and have obtained a 60% or higher on their 10th, 12th, and degree exams, there is an additional scholarship available, worth Rs. 25,000. There are only 20 scholarships available, so applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Students looking for additional scholarship opportunities can also visit the Karnataka University website. Students must apply for these scholarships and meet the requirements in order to be eligible.

The eligible candidates can apply by filling out the KUD application form. The admission form can be downloaded from the Karnataak University official website. The dully filled application form is further required to be submitted along with the bank acknowledgment of application processing fee and entrance test fee payment has to be submitted to the Chairman/Coordinator of the concerned department. The complete application form should be sent by post within the due date.Furthermore, candidates wanting to apply for more than one course need to submit an application form separately.

For MBA admission, candidates must have a minimum Karnataka PGCET percentage of 50% for general category candidates and 45% for SC, ST, and Category-I candidates in Karnataka.Qualifications for admission to the MBA programme via the Karnataka PGCET comprise:Qualification Degree: Students may enroll in the full-time MBA programme provided they have successfully completed a bachelor's degree course, regardless of their academic discipline. The minimum course length for the qualifying degree programme must be three years, or the equivalent.Aggregate Score: The marks from every subject, including language classes from all three years of the degree program, must be used to compute the aggregate score. Candidates in reserved categories, such as SC, ST, and Karnataka candidates in Category 1, are eligible for a five percent score concession. Candidates in unreserved categories are required to receive a minimum aggregate score of fifty percent. Such candidates need to have at least a 45% overall cumulative score across all subjects.Every year, the Karnataka PGCET is a state-level entrance exam.
