If you are interested in the forestry course, COF Thrissur is the best option.
Placements: A total of 15 students were admitted to the five departments for Masters in Forestry. In my department, there were 3 people. Semester-wise, the fees will range between 12,000 to 15,000. Most of the students will apply for teaching or scientist professions. After the master's, you can apply for project assistant positions.
Infrastructure: In the department, you will get facilities like a fully furnished lab, Wi-Fi, classrooms, and a library. They also provide time for sports. Games like football, basketball, cricket, shuttle, chess, and volleyball are played at the inter-university level. Good quality and quantity food are available from the mess. The canteen is also neat, clean, and you get food at an affordable price. The hostel is also equipped with Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. They always guide us in our academic matters. The teaching quality is also good. The curriculum is relevant for many competitive exams. If we study, we can crack the exams. More than 90% is the pass percentage. In the Masters program, they give 50% importance to research and thesis work.
Other: Scholarships like INSPIRE, JRF, SRF, and UGC are provided to qualified students. For M.Sc. and Ph.D. students, KAU scholarships are also available. Every year, intercollegiate arts and sports events take place. Field visits are often offered. High-level profiles of jobs like IFS can be cracked.

Satisfied with course curriculum and teachers. But labs needs to be renovated.
Placements: Most of the companies that visit the campus are from the service sector. Students of our senior batches got their jobs only through competitive exams but not through any campus placement drives. However, placement drives are about to start by July this year (2019). Some students also started working as TAs (teaching assistants) in the same college after the completion of their masters for a salary of Rs. 30,000 and some students also got placed as research associates with a daily payment of Rs. 350 per day.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college are average. Only a few departments are having good labs, and one can do any research activities in those labs. The library is not up to the mark, and we don't even have any reading room available here. The library is not much spacious, and there only a few books available there. The library doesn't even have any updated editions. Our hostels are newly renovated, but they can't be able to offer accommodation facilities to all the students as the batch size is growing every year. They need to provide additional rooms. Quality of food offered is low here.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college were highly qualified and highly resourceful. Thet teach using all possible means. They offer both theoretical and practical knowledge. The faculty to student ratio in the master's courses is 1: 5. We have been to research institutes as a part of our course curriculum.
Other: Extracurricular activities are given much importance. Inter-college sports and art events are conducted every year. The campus is beautiful with greenery all around. The campus is not easily accessible as it's situated far from the city.

    Really good facilities and placements.
Placements: About 80 percent of students are placed in this course. There are only 25 seats. There is direct recruitment in the forest department for forestry students. We can work in NGOs, and also we can work as naturalists, etc. We will get many field works in this course.
Infrastructure: There are almost all facilities available in this course as well as in the department, like library, Wi-Fi, classrooms, etc. In the hostel, there is availability of a study room, and food is also available in the hostel. Types of sports like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, etc., can be played
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful in understanding all the doubt sessions. They will give many field sessions. 75 percent is the passing percentage in this course. In this course, the curriculum is relevant and it increases students’ interest to work in forests.
