Good facilities are available.
Placements: Above 80% students got internships. Top recruiting companies are Matsyafed (Kerala State Cooperative Federation for fisheries development Ltd. ), Innovafeed, CIFNET, and CMFRI. High job opportunities in the Kerala Fisheries Sector. Above 80% students are placed in the course.
Infrastructure: Well-developed facilities. For the semester, girls don't get a hostel. The government gives an amount to support those students. The food at private hostels is not good. The campus hostel has much better food than the private hostel. There are good classrooms with smart class ICAR-sponsored classrooms.
Faculty: The pass percentage for the semester is 50%. Teachers are very healthy, qualified, well-experienced, and knowledgeable. Semester exams are not very difficult. The difficulty depends on the subjects included in the semester. The teaching quality is good enough to gain knowledge.

It is a good college for your higher education.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in each batch. Abaad, Processing and Aquarium, and Hatchery visit here. About 40% of students got internships from our course in food processing factories, exporting and importing companies, and Aqua Lab.
Infrastructure: The college provides great facilities for the fisheries department. It has a huge library, smart classrooms, a canteen, smart working labs, good lab assistants, water filters, hygienic toilets, Wi-Fi, and rest rooms. The hostel facilities are not good. The food available in the mess is not worth it. Games, sports, and gym facilities are available.
Faculty: Our teachers are well qualified. Most of them are permanent faculty and Ph.D. holders. They are very helpful in our studies. They are very caring. The course curriculum is very relevant. This course helps students get industry-ready. Semester exams are simple.
Other: I chose this course because I am more interested in practical studies than theoretical ones. You cannot expect much of campus life.

Life in KUFOS: The campus crowd is less. Entrepreneurs can take the course.
Placements: 70% to 90% of students got placed in the fisheries course. The average package is 3-7 LPA. The highest package can reach up to 12 LPA for specialized roles in research or management positions at reputed companies. The lowest package for entry-level jobs may offer around 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Neospark, Gadre Marine, and CP. Around 70% of students got internships in marine research centres, aquariums, and conservation projects. Aquaculturist, fish hatchery manager, fisheries officer, farm manager, fisheries extension officer, fishery biologist, aquatic biologist, fish feed mill manager, research scientist, and fisheries inspector are top roles offered in the fisheries course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for students. It has a clean and well-equipped lab. Classrooms have projectors, mics, etc. The library has a notable number of books. The hostel has average facilities. The quality of the food is good. It has an average medical facility. Everyone in the college supports sports. There is a swimming pool and an average ground. The equipment for sports is acceptable for all students. For the selected players, the university provides the necessary funds and equipment for the game. Almost all sports are played here like football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable. They qualified more than enough to teach. The teaching quality is notable. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are tough and depend on teachers who put the question paper. More than 50% is required to pass and above 70% of students pass exams.
Other: We have enormous opportunities in the business sector and as an enterpruner. If they could provide more first-hand opportunities to interact with live fish and things, it would be better. The college conducts many events and fests as part of a union and other party-based or batch-wise. The campus crowd is very less around 600 students. Different scholarships are available like E-Grand, etc. It has extracurricular activities like NSS, NCC, different clubs, etc.

If you are interested in fisheries related studies, opt for KUFOS.
Placements: This is a four-year professional course mentioned as bachelors of fisheries science. Every year, 80 students got placed in each batch. Almost all the students get opportunities for internships in several government fisheries institutions and processing plants during final year. A fisheries graduate has the opportunity to be a director of fisheries, assistant director of fisheries, sub-inspector of fisheries inspector of fisheries, and fisheries extension officer. We can apply for the agricultural research scientist post in several central fisheries institutions.
Infrastructure: There are two campuses, and one of them is the Lakeside campus with instructional farms and hatchery. The library has Wi-Fi support. The hostel is very good, and the hostel fee is feasible. The mess provides very good food rather than other government hostels. There is a canteen with a few facilities. Sports, games and a swimming pool are available.
Faculty: The teachers are eminent and qualified. They are more concentrated on research-oriented studies. Our syllabus is really dealing with a wide arena of subjects. It includes fisheries resource management, aquatic environment, business management studies, aquatic health, aquaculture, fisheries engineering, communicating skills, physical education, and food processing. The curriculum offers wide opportunities.
Other: This is a unique course. This is the only college in Kerala, with 80 students passing out every year. I am much interested in fisheries and ocean-related studies. There are arts and sports fests conducted. As this course is ICAR accredited, there are ICAR scholarships and also merit scholarships for toppers each semester. The selection process of this course is through the ICAR exam and NEET exam rank. The fee is feasible for a student from a middle-class family.

The college is good with adequate infrastructure facilities than many fisheries colleges in India.
Placements: Placements for bank-related fisheries posts are offered by banks like IDBI and processing plant companies. The college also offered a B.Tech course, which had placement cells that provided students with opportunities in their last semester.
Infrastructure: The hostel was good, with washing machines, toilets, and spacious rooms. Sports and games were also part of day-to-day activities. The mess food was okay but could have been better. Students ran the mess, and it was cheap and affordable at Rs.2500 a month, with weekly 2 days nonveg.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and experienced in this field. The course was purely curriculum-based and prepared students to be ready to face their careers. Semester exams were made strictly difficult. The pass percentage was 80% for both external combined and separately. This was required to pass. The practical exam had a 20% weightage.
Other: I had no other option but to go with this course. I wished the Egrantz and other scholarships had been up to date and correctly implemented. There were active dance, arts, and music clubs.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the course I had taken. Placements were too slow to get.
Placements: 10-15 students were placed in our college at different companies. The highest package was 45,000/- per month. Agriculture-based bank IDBI was the top company that recruited for our course. Most of them got internships in various companies. Junior assistant was the role offered.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was better than any other government-based college. Labs and classrooms of the eastern campus were well maintained, while the western campus was too old to maintain. The library was good for an average learner. The hostel is huge, and they maintained it very well. The food is good compared to other hostels, and the rates were also minimal. The mess and canteen are clean and hygienic. The badminton court is the center of attraction in the hostel. The matron has a friendly nature.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in their own way, and all the teachers are well-qualified doctorates. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is not that relevant; it doesn't make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are a bit too difficult nowadays. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I see a future in the fisheries sector in the coming generation. The main thing about the course is we will be free from mental stress and tension. SFI is starting seriously, and the events held are awesome.
