It has good placements, tech events, and hostel facilities, but the mess food is bad.

Placements: I think the placement percentage is high, around 70 percent in Information Technology, but the average and lowest packages are low, around 6.5 LPA and 2 to 3 LPA respectively. The highest package is around 14 to 15 LPA for campus placements. Outside campus placements are higher, with the highest reaching around 60 LPA, and most people taking outside placements get around 20 to 30 LPA. However, the number of people getting outside placements is very small, maybe 5 to 8 percent maximum. Top recruiters are TCS, Infra, and Wipro, and the selection rate is 30 to 40 percent, with around 20 to 30 percent of those getting pre-placement offers.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure include Wi-Fi all over the campus, AI and computer labs, digital classrooms, an air-conditioned library, and a good campus full of trees which is nice for a stroll, along with many playgrounds. Talking about the hostel, recently all hostel rooms are good, but the mess is the worst thing—the food is very bad, with repeated incidents of insects found in the food and very rude mess workers. Medical facilities are also bad and always closed about half of the time. Sports facilities are good, with many grounds in the college and in the hostel itself, game equipment is available, and a gym is also available.

Faculty: The teachers are good, helpful, funny, and very supportive compared to other branches. The curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready, nearly every year, industry-important subjects or topics are added to the exams, and less important things are removed from the college exam syllabus. For example, this year in 2026, two AI subjects are added in the second year, which are the Use of AI Tools and Fundamentals of AI, while the COA syllabus is reduced. Semester exams are easy and no one fails, so the passing rate is close to 100 percent, and the average CGPA is around 7.5 to 8.

Other: Information Technology is the best course in my college as it has the most chill faculty in the entire college, as well as the best placements, which are above Computer Science. Regarding events and fests, they are not that good overall, but the tech events are really very good. The scholarship condition is very good as there is a dedicated cell in the college if you meet the criteria. Outside the college, there are mostly cafes and gyms with nothing else, and the surrounding area is mostly like a jungle. If I suggest an improvement, it is that no internship opportunities are provided by the college for first- and second-year students.

I am quite satisfied with my college life.

Placements: Most of those who got placed have a CG above 7.5 and decent knowledge of subjects. The average package is 6.5 LPA to 7 LPA. The placement ratio looks good, only students above 7.5 CGPA are allowed to sit for placements, and a few students go for GATE.

Infrastructure: Workshops and smart boards for better understanding of subjects. Mess food is decent. Canteen is decent as well. There are lab assistants as well for each lab who excel in their field.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, and well qualified. Most of them have done PhD in their respective subjects and have a lot of teaching experience. The courses are relevant if you want to prepare for GATE. The teachers are also very supportive if you have interest in their subject. The teachers are knowledgeable about their respective subjects.

Other: Just wanted to do something a little different from the crowd. Everyone is choosing CSE even if they have interest or not. I also had an interest in mechanics and all, so that's why I chose this course.

The college is good, but the management department is not good. They don't even have a separate HOD.

Placements: The placement cell is very bad. They don't even connect with recruiters, even if you share the recruiter's details. There is also a lot of politics going on in the placement cell. They mainly make the Engineering department coordinator. The placement cell members mainly chill.

Infrastructure: The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled, and the classrooms and hostel are good. The government is spending a lot of money. Cleaning is also very good. However, drinking water is still the biggest problem in my department. Overall, it is good compared to all the other colleges in Gorakhpur.

Faculty: In the management department, they hire maximum guest faculty. The assistant professors are very arrogant. They don't even take their classes and threaten students, failing them in their subjects. They also fight a lot and abuse each other, so I don't recommend the MBA program.

Review of MMMUT B.Tech. (Information Technology).

Placements: Around 80-90% of students from each department get placed in good companies. For CSE/IT branches, there are a lot of companies coming every year on campus for placements like TCS, Josh Technology Group, Ericsson, BNP Paribas, BlogVault, Finnable, etc. The highest package offered is 59 LPA at Uber, but it is off-campus. The on-campus average placement is around 6 LPA to 7 LPA. Even TCS starts from 3.6 LPA and goes up to 9 LPA. The top roles offered are SDE, Data Analyst, AI Engineer, etc.

Infrastructure: The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. You will not face any internet problems throughout the campus. The ITRC and computer labs are also updated with the latest and best computers. The classroom infrastructure is also updated this year with smart boards and AC. The hostel is also good and well maintained. A lot of maintenance is done this year in all the hostels. The mess has gone to Sugandhim Sweet Tender, and they are taking care of cleanliness very well. There is also a small medical facility available on the campus. There is also a sports ground.

Faculty: Teachers and faculty members of this college are helpful in every situation. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is average. They take regular classes, especially for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year students. The course curriculum is also well updated, and it keeps you industry-ready. The semester exams are not very difficult in this college. One can easily score well by studying a little before the exams. There is one minor and one major exam per semester. One has to score 27+ in the major exam to pass a subject.

Other: I chose Information Technology at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology because it is one of the top branches of this college. The best thing about this course is that I have to study new and evolving technologies in the market, and it is making me industry-ready. There is little updating required, like practical exposure to how students will work after studying B.Tech. There are lots of events and fests conducted every year. Abhyudaya is the annual cultural fest, and Techsrijan is the annual tech fest of this college. Scholarships are also provided to all eligible UP students.

The college is overall decent and the environment is quite nice.

Placements: Around 77 percent of students got placed from my course. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest package is 2 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. Top recruitment companies for my course are TCS, Infosys, etc. Around 77 percent students got internships from my course.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for my department are decent, with AC classes and labs, Wi-Fi, and an air-conditioned library. The quality of hostels is decent, with freshers getting better hostels. The quality of food in mess and canteen is decent. Medical facilities, sports, and games are okayish.

Faculty: Some of the teachers are helpful more, meanwhile most teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is decent. The course curriculum is lowkey relevant. It does not make students industry-ready, it is just for theoretical knowledge. The semester exams are moderate to decent, with an average passing rate.

Other: I chose this college because of its well-known state university status.

Good faculty, bad professor - student interaction, good placements, awesome college life.

Placements: Placement support is given by the college. Although it's an autonomous college, its ties with government programs keep it a step higher than its fellow contenders. My branch has the highest and best placement ratio. The highest package was 59 LPA from our branch itself. The average goes like 8-10 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really great. Each and every facility is provided by the college administration. The hostel might not satisfy some people (which is always the case for every hostel in India). Classrooms are air-conditioned and are well-equipped with digital machinery.

Faculty: The curriculum is what separates our college from others. What you might study in the 3rd or 4th semester, our college makes you well-versed in that subject in the first year itself. Although professors are just the same as those typical Government College professors, I hope you know what I mean.

Other: Do get inducted into different Clubs and Societies. Believe me. It will make a difference for sure. These things in our college are the best. You will get loads and loads of exposure, and you surely will learn a lot. So keep pushing your limits here in events.
