B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2026

There's no need to join this college, and rather try for another one, and get into some decent NIT.
Placements: The average package offered in my batch ranges between 3-4.5 LPA. The placement percentage might be around 50-55 percent. The highest package offered is more than 40 LPA (off campus) and 12 LPA (on campus). The top recruiting company is HUL (Hindustan Unilever Limited). 2 students got placed at HUL. A low percentage of students got internships. It all depends on students. The college is not at all helpful in this. The top role offered is a graduate engineer trainee (GET). Placements in the Mechanical course are super great this year.
Infrastructure: It's an old government engineering college, so the infrastructure is good, according to that. Wi-Fi is available in every department (in fact, in the entire college). Labs are decent as well. The new classrooms have AC as well, and they are well furnished and are in good condition. Hostels were not so good back then, but they are under renovation as of now. Hostels are quite decent as well. The mess food is worse. The canteen is overpriced. There is a dispensary for medical facilities. The ground is decent as well for sports and games.
Faculty: In every college, we will find a bunch of horrible faculty members. It also has a handful of super helpful and kind faculty members. A few of them are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Overall, the teaching quality is worse. The course curriculum is a bit relevant. Very few companies come for the placements, so why worry about getting industry-ready. We can always score above-average marks by studying for 2-3 days before exams. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I just wanted to get into some college after my 1st drop year, and I just filled chemical engineering as my 1st reference so that my seat is secured ( I should have filled CS, IT, EE, and ECE courses as preference). Mine is a new branch here, and placements aren't decent at all. I wish I were in some other college. Events and fests are all students' responsibility, and they are one's who make the college life easier. The campus crowd is decent. Connectivity is good as well.

eview of BBA in Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur.
Placements: I am just a fresher now, I don't know much, but I know that 2 of my seniors got placed just with BBA General. Both of them got package of 7 LPA in Bangalore. As our college is offering Hons too. So our seniors told us you would get a good placement at the time of passing out. More than a 15 LPA package is offered and it all depends on our skills. The jobs are offered as sales manager, finance, and HR.
Infrastructure: I would rate classes 5/5 because we got classrooms with AC and smart boards. There is free Wi-Fi on the entire campus 24/7. There are more than 10,000 books in the library. The library also has a facility of Computers. If we talk about the hostel, it's good for survival. I got the hostel which is the best compared to other hostels. There are tiled floors and all. There is a good canteen and sports facilities, but not so good medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are so knowledgeable and well-qualified. They just don't help in studies but teach beyond the academics. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that tough. It's easy if you are studying well.
Other: I chose this course because I want to know how big industries work and know their internals and externals. Being a management student, it teaches us how a business is managed. Beyond profit, I think they can include technical skills classes for management students. Events are good and the campus crowd is positive. All students, teachers, and non-teaching staff have good connectivity. We get UP scholarship. There are many extracurricular activities conducted.

It is a good and underrated college of UP, and it is the best college of UP with NIRF ranking of 60.
Placements: So many students pass and get placement from here. The highest package of all time is approximately 55 LPA, with an average package of 8 LPA. Many companies like Microsoft, Google, LinkedIn, Unilever, and many more higher companies come to recruit the students. Many students of the college get internships at Adobe, Microsoft, Google, and many more. From my knowledge, at least 70 to 80 percent of students participate in it. The top branches of the college are CS, IT, IoT, etc.
Infrastructure: All the facilities and infrastructure are here a good Wi-Fi network, excellent labs, a good classroom, and one of the essential things, a good and big library. Food is best in my hostel mess. An ambulance and a doctor's facility are provided. All sports and game areas are there.
Faculty: Very good teachers are here, well-qualified. They make a good student industry question of the exams is pretty tough. The teaching quality is so nice. Many of our professors are among the best 2 percent of scientists in the world, as published by Stanford University.
Other: One of the best branches is civil in this college I chose this as my career to be an engineer. My faculty are well-known, who written many books. Faculty are the best in this college. Many fests and tech events are organised here a good alumni network is here.

Balanced academics and extracurricular opportunities.
Placements: Our 2025 batch at MMMUT had a pretty solid placement season. Close to 85% of the students who were set for placement got offers, which was encouraging for everyone. The highest package touched around 59 LPA, while the lowest stood around 3-4LPA, and the average package was near 7LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, NPCL, Bharat Electronics Ltd. IBM, Cognizant, Myntra, Accenture, Apollo, TCS, ACKO, Aditya Birla group are offering diverse opportunities across both II and Core engineering sectors. Internships were also a strong point, with about 60-65% of the students gaining industrial exposure through top companies like Amazon, Tcs.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure includes Wi-Fi, a proper computer lab, an AI/ml lab, a Chemistry lab, a Physics research lab, spacious classrooms with a smart board, and a well-stocked library for study and research. Hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms, though the mess food quality varies. Medical support is available on campus, and sports grounds for cricket and football, volleyball, along with games keep student life active.
Faculty: The faculty are qualified and supportive, with good teaching quality that helps students grasp concepts well. The curriculum is updated and industry -oriented, preparing students for placements. Semester exams are moderately tough but fair, and the overall pass percentage remains high.
Other: I did not get the option to join IIT or NIT, so I decided to pursue my course at MMMUT. Choosing this college has still given good exposure with decent infrastructure, supportive faculty, and active campus life. While there are areas that can improve, the overall environment here is positive and helps students grow academically and personally.

Tier 3 college-wise, it is good and improving.
Placements: 80-85 percent of students are placed in the CSE department. The highest package is 55 LPA, which is off-campus. The average package of on-campus placement is 6 LPA. The lowest package offered is of 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, IBM, Cognizant, TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), and Infosys. 75 percent of students got internships from my course, they did internships in TCS, Wipro Technologies, and Infosys. The top roles offered are Software Engineer and Cyber Security Analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the CSE department is good. The hostels are average, but they are big in size and contain a ground in between. Wi-Fi is provided both in the department and the hostel. Classrooms are better and newly made with air conditioning. The library has a vast collection of books, but it's not 24/7. The mess food provided is average. The mess fees are Rs. 18,000 for six months, and the hostel fees are Rs. 30,000 per year. There is a medical facility, but they don't have many medicines. You must go outside for a better curve. There are nearly all sports.
Faculty: The teachers are well educated and qualified, some of them are helpful, and some are not. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is relevant because, as a CSE student in the first year, I am studying Physics and Chemistry, which, in my opinion, will not contribute to my subject. The semester exams are not tough, all we need to do is solve PYQ's. The passing percentage is 40 percent overall, and you must also get more than 15 marks in 50 in semester end examination to pass.
Other: I chose this course based on the trends of today's era and my interests. This course is useful in the AI era. Various events are occurring throughout the year. There are two fests, one is a cultural fest named Heats, and the second is a technical fest named Techsrijan. The connectivity is very good, you have all the modes of transport available. The campus is surrounded by a jungle on one side. No specific Scholarship by the college. There are the UP scholarship and the private scholarships.

Huge campus, rude faculty, average placements.
Placements: Well, as I am in first year, I actually don't know much about placement. All I heard is that the highest package is somewhere about 54 LPA and it is off-campus placement. From seniors, we have heard that placement rates are pretty average. If you are trying to join this college on the basis of only placement, I recommend you choose some other college.
Infrastructure: Well, in the starting phase, every first-year student lives under restrictions for three months, which means you cannot go outside on your own. Each student has to form a line, go to class, and return to the hostel after class, that’s all. It is very irritating. The food is pretty decent, so you can manage. We get a good variety with breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. The campus is huge, with a sports ground, multiple departmental buildings, a library, Wi-Fi across the campus, and medical facilities.
Faculty: Well, professors are awesome and speak politely, but the lab in-charges are very rude. They don’t respect students, and as a first-year, any lab assistant is usually impolite, often in a bad mood, and doesn’t teach or correct you. The syllabus is hard to describe for a newcomer. Exams are not very hard. I scored very well in semester one by studying only a few days.
Other: It feels like a government college, and the fees are quite high. Without a scholarship, it can be expensive for a middle-class family. I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering. I chose this because it was the best option available for my rank. There aren’t many places to explore in Gorakhpur city. You cannot go outside campus during the first 3–4 months of restriction. After that, each society organizes different events. So there are many events happening on campus.
