Category-specific reservation policies: NLSIU may allocate a certain percentage of seats to candidates from specific categories like Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and others, as mandated by government regulations.2. Academic eligibility: Candidates may need to meet minimum educational qualifications, which can vary depending on the program.3. Yes, students who meet the minimum cutoff for the BA LLB programme at NLSIU can potentially secure a seat. However, it's important to note that the cutoff is the last rank or minimum marks for which the university offers admission. It depends on factors such as the number of seats offered, reservation, number of applicants, and their performance in CLAT.The NLSIU cutoff in 2023 for the BA LLB (Hons) programme was quite competitive, with the last round closing rank standing at 114. In 2022 and 2021, the last round closing ranks were 149 and 83, respectively. Therefore, while meeting the cutoff is a requirement, it does not guarantee admission due to the competitive nature of the process. The higher a candidate's rank or score in the CLAT exam, the better their chances of securing a seat.
