However, according to the RCI notice dated 2nd November 2024 and UGC notice dated 29th January 2024, the 2025 admission cycle may be the final intake for the M.Phil. Clinical Psychology program. The programme is being replaced by a new 2-year RCI-regulated postgraduate course titled 'M.A. in Clinical Psychology'.
For the new M.A. in Clinical Psychology program, candidates must have a 4-year B.A./B.Sc. degree in Psychology from a UGC-recognized university with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST candidates as per Government of India norms). Alternatively, candidates with a 3-year undergraduate degree in Psychology must complete a 4th-year Bridge Course or the first year of an M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology with a minimum of 55% marks.
The tuition fee for the M.Phil in Clinical Psychology programme is ₹3,00,000 per year, and the hostel fees are ₹1,60,000 per year. The faculty members for the programme include experienced doctorate holders from prestigious institutions.
