NIST MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2025
NIST MBA is a postgraduate programme offered in the full-time mode. The duration of the MBA programme is two years. MBA at NIST is AICTE-approved and is offered through the institute's College of Management and Commerce. The programme is offered in various specialisations, including HR, Finance, Operations, Marketing, etc.
MBA admission at NIST is provided based on the applicant's performance in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (O-JEE)/CAT/MAT/XAT. MBA admission at NIST is a multi-step process. It includes the online application, entrance exam, physical reporting and fee payment. The steps included in the process of NIST admissions for its MBA programme are discussed below in detail:
STEP 1: MBA Registration & Application Process
The first step is to visit the official NIST website and apply for MBA admission at https://admission.nist.edu/application-form. Before applying, candidates will have to submit a registration form containing basic details related to them. They can then proceed to fill out the application form and submit it along with the required documents and an application fee of INR 400. For offline application, candidates need to visit the campus of the institute & submit the hard copy of the application form. Additionally, candidates must register for one of the accepted entrance exams.
STEP 2: NIST MBA Selection Process
The institute selects students for its MBA programme based on their performance in the accepted entrance exams. 70% of the total seats are filled through OJEE counselling. 15% of the total seats are filled through other accepted exams, namely CAT, MAT and XAT.
STEP 3: Physical Reporting and Fee Payment
Shortlisted candidates must report at the NIST campus for document verification. The final step in the admission process is to submit the NIST fees to confirm the admission. To confirm their admission to NIST's MBA programme, candidates must submit the admission seat confirmation fee of INR 15,000. This fee will later be adjusted in the course fee.
