Review of North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST).
Placements: Top recruiting companies like OIL, ICOL, BHEL, etc., visit our campus. Almost 41% of students are placed. The salary package has increased by 10%.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are huge and neat. Our college has old infrastructure. We have a central library. It is the largest library in the state. We have two playgrounds. A gym is available. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel and library. Our college has good labs, classes, and seminar halls.
Faculty: Our teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is similar to that of other famous institutes like IITs and NITs. A CGPA of 6.5 is required to pass. Almost 75% of attendance is required to be eligible for semester exams.

Honest review of NERIST in 2022.
Placements: Placements are not so good in our college as it resides in remote area of Arunachal Pradesh in the North East region. Some of the public sector companies visit the campus for placements which include Tata, Asahi Glass, ONGC, OIL, NHPC, etc. Apart from that, other private companies like Tech Mahindra also visit the campus for placements at irregular intervals. But, this year it has been good in terms of placement as recently Google visited the campus for a placement with around 17 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostel is average as the existing infrastructure of the building dates back in the era of 2000s. As the institute was established in 1980s, the buildings of the hostel block have turned much old and there is a urgent need of renovation. Apart from that, hostel has good facilities in terms of living experience, which includes good food quality. The hostels have good Wi-Fi connection, which is an advantage for the students. The hostel complex has good number of shops. Also, we have basketball courts, badminton courts, tennis courts and all other sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified in NERIST, most of them come from other states of the country as well. Teachers are well-trained in IITs and NITs of the country. But, one of the major problems of the institutes teaching curriculum is that Ph.D. students are given the job to teach the students, which makes it bad for the students. Because Ph.D. students are not keen to teach the students for free. This is the only problem that the institute has for a long time. Apart from that all courses are good and have good pass percentages among the students. Semester results are also adequately maintained by the hard working students with the aid of online study materials.
Other: NERIST has a rich and vibrant culture where students from all the states of Northeast come to study together. The institute holds beautiful cultural festivals that enlighten the experience of studying in the campus.

Economically feasible and good institute.
Placements: Placements are pretty much average. Few companies like Oil India, Wipro, Power Grid, Tech Mahindra have visited the campus. The placements are average mainly because of the location. Also on recruitment the salaries have varied from 3 Lacs to 11 Lacs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The classrooms and the lab facilities are very well maintained. Well put equipments and machineries for different branches. Library is up to date and there's also a sport gym club for the students to bring out their athletic side. The hotels for both boys and girls are inside the campus. The college has a wide campus amidst the greenery of the northeast.
Faculty: Faculty members are well qualified and knowledgeable. There are atleast 3-4 faculty members in a branch. The professors are very supportive. Be it any branch, there are certain professors whose guidance can be seeked for projects even outside of the college. The college provides M.Tech and Ph.D. along with B.Tech. Also the course fees are cheap. The hostel fees are also cheap as compared to the other colleges in India.
Other: The campus organizes many evemts and fests within the college. From sports to cultural activities to tech fests. As there are students from all over India and mainly from the north east, a wide variety of culture can be seen.
