But it's not correct to compare fees. This is so on two counts. Firstly, fees charged by public institutions are many a times subsidised by the Govt whereas fees of students have to cover all the expenses of the institution. Secondly, public universities have plenty of colleges affiliated to it which could again be public or private. Meaning fees for identical courses will be different in two colleges under the same university. This is not the case with deemed to be or private universities. Here college and university are one and the same for all practical purposes. So is the case here in the query.          Fees for food technology courses at undergraduate level in MIT is INR7.04L, for PG it's INR3.42L and for PG Diploma it's INR84200.00. On the other hand fees vary under different colleges under North Maharashtra University for undergraduate courses from INR1.55L to INR4L.
