The University offers BA as a full-time programme of three years. The programme is offered in nine specialisations. These specialisations include Political Science, Sociology, History, Economics, etc. Eight of these specialisations are offered under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. BA in Journalism and Mass Communication is offered under the Faculty of Media Sciences.
Admission to the BA programme is based on the applicant's merit in Class 12 and is subject to the availability of seats in their chosen specialisation. Students seeking admission to the programme must fulfil the BA eligibility criteria. The students must have passed Class 12 in any stream with a minimum of 40% aggregate.
Fees 2026
The fees for Oriental University courses comprise various components. These components include tuition fees, hostel fees, one-time fees, etc. The tuition fee is payable yearly and the one-time fee is payable only once at admission. The BA fees for three years is INR 60,000. The applicants must submit a one-time fee of INR 2,500 at admission. The University provides OU-Aspire scholarships to BA students under various categories.
