NTA has announced the JEE Main 2026 exam date for Session 2. JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam will be held from 2nd April 2026 to 9th April 2026. The JEE Main Application Form 2026 for Session 2 will be available on the website.

Oriental University provides an option of lateral entry admission to its BTech programmes. The duration of this course is three years as the candidates are admitted directly to the second year (third semester) of the BTech programme. To be eligible for lateral entry admission for the BTech programme offered at the university, applicants must have passed a three-year Diploma or a BSc degree from a university recognised by the UGC. The applicants must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

Oriental University admits students to its BTech programme based on their merit in JEE (Main). Hence, candidates seeking admission to the programme must apply and appear for JEE (Main). Candidates can follow the step given below to apply for the entrance exam required for BTech admission at the university:

• Visit the official JEE Main Registration NTA website
• Select the JEE Mains Apply Online option that says "New Candidate Registration"
• Select the preferred registration mode through Aadhar enrollment number/PAN/Passport
• Fill the registration form with the necessary data, and create a passport of your choice
• Click on the "submit" button
• Candidate will receive the JEE Main registration number and password on the registered mobile phone and email ID
• Login using the details provided and fill in all the information asked in the application form. After which the documents and photographs should be scanned and uploaded
• The final step is to pay the JEE Main fees through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI

For admission to BTech at Oriental University, apart from JEE rank, it is also crucial that applicant meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.
