B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2028
Offered by Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Shegaon
4.2

It’s a good college. One can join.
Placements: Placement records are good and average. There is very good placement for core branches (Electrical and Mechanical). Most Electrical students get placed in companies like Torrent Pvt. Talking about Electronics and Telecommunication branch, there are fewer students placed as compared to intake. There are around 130-140 students in Electronics, out of which around 30 students are placed, and placement goes on.
Infrastructure: There is very good infrastructure in the college. Classes and labs are really good. Most colleges do not have proper labs, but SSGMCE has very good labs in every branch. Also, classes are very good and newly renovated. There is a huge ground in the campus.
Faculty: As the college is not autonomous, there is a little difficulty in passing semester exams. There is transparency in every aspect: exam marks, internals given on the basis of unit test, attendance, and TEC of 30 marks. Faculty members are really supportive, and students get a lot of help from faculty members.
Other: There is mess facility available at a cheap price, but the food is very average. There is no non-veg allowed, and special dishes such as paneer are given once a month or once in two months. Most of the time, there is watery sabji or dal. Talking about library, it is very good. There are fewer or approximately no events conducted in college.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028
Offered by Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Shegaon
4.2
3Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good placements in Mechanical Engineering.
Placements: Currently in second year of Mechanical branch, but as I have noticed, in our college core branches placements are more than CS/IT branches. In my branch, as I have noticed in the last 2-3 years, the highest offered LPA is 12 LPA, and the number of placements in my branch is very much better than others.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is consistent here, library is very much better, classrooms are also IIT level. Hostels are nice and well cleaned every day. Toilets and bathrooms are regularly cleaned 2 times a day, and there are 3 hostels for boys. It is a merit-based hostel, in 1st year, it is first-come-first-serve, but from 2nd year, your pointer matters to get your desired room.
Faculty: Some faculty are very nice, but some of them are not good. Teachers are well-mannered and respectful. They are well-qualified, some of them are IIT graduates, some are from NIT, but in general, all the faculty members of my college are very good, and exams are very strict.
Other: Very nice college.

Offered by Government College of Engineering, Amravati

Actually, placements are good but overall college life is bad.
Placements: About 60% of students got placed. The highest package is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary is 3.5 LPA. The average salary is 4 LPA. Top companies in our college are TCS, Adani, Zoho, etc. Internship opportunities are very low. Top roles offered are varied according to skills. Overall, the average is good.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is good. Digital TV is available in class. Wi-Fi is available on the whole campus. Classrooms are average and the capacity of class is about 70-80 students. E-library is good and internet facilities are available with new PCs. Hostel facilities are average but hostel fee is very low Rs 2150 per year. Canteen, sports, and games are below average.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful and have great experience. But some faculty members are bad at teaching as well as internal marks. Semester exams are hard for this course. Out of 70, only 30 can pass exams due to internal marks and hard mid-semester papers. End semester paper is also so hard.
Other: There are placement opportunities in our college. Teaching can be improved about my course and campus experience is below average. Fests and events are improving every year and scholarship opportunities are less.

Best college in my opinion.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course is 70 percent. The highest average package is 1LPA, and the lowest package offered is 15000. Top recruiting companies are Tata, Mahindra, and the Adani group. The percentage of students who got internships from my course is 80 percent.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in my college are very good. In my college there is no Wi-Fi, but there are labs, classrooms, and a library. The quality of the facilities in my hostel is normal, not very bad, but medical facilities are good. Sports and games are very good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, gentleman, and well qualified. They have very good knowledge of their field. The quality of teachers is very good. Students are made industry ready. The semester exams in this college are hard, depending on our study.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Power) - Batch of 2028
Offered by Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Shegaon
4.2
4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and decent placements.
Placements: Around 50-70 percent of students were placed, with packages ranging from 2 LPA to 5 LPA. The average is 3 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Capgemini. About 25 percent got internships in firms like Adani Power and DRDO, mostly for roles such as Software Engineer and Graduate Engineer Trainee.
Infrastructure: The Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Power) department has well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, and access to a central digital library with research journals and e-books. The campus infrastructure is clean, well-maintained, and provides a good academic environment. The hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms, 24/7 water and electricity, and Wi-Fi access. The mess food quality is average but hygienic, and the canteen offers better options at reasonable prices. Medical facilities are available on campus with a doctor on call, and emergency support is provided when needed. Sports facilities include a large playground, gym, and courts for cricket, football, volleyball, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable, with most holding M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees, and they guide students in both academics and projects. The teaching quality is generally good and concept-oriented, using practical examples. The course curriculum is updated and relevant, following RTMNU guidelines, and includes industry-based subjects like power systems, control engineering, and electronics, though it still needs more exposure to modern industrial tools and software to make students fully industry-ready. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty; conceptual understanding and regular study are enough to pass. The pass percentage usually remains around 85-90 percent.
Other: I’m from the Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Power) course at SSGMCE, Shegaon. I chose this course due to my interest in power systems and electronics. The best parts are the experienced faculty, good labs, and practical learning. It needs improvement in industrial exposure and core placements. The college has technical and cultural fests, an active campus crowd, peaceful surroundings, good connectivity, and offers scholarships with many extracurricular opportunities.

Absolutely not dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: Almost 70 to 80 percent of the students get placement offers before completing their graduation, and recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Bharat Forge, Infotech, BPCL, and more companies. The topmost roles are offered to ENTC and mechanical branches, which are always in demand.
Infrastructure: There are so many facilities provided by the college. There is a survey lab, an advanced computer lab, a library having huge varieties of books, and a Wi-Fi connection for students. Also, there is a canteen for the students to get refreshments and have gossip with friends.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and experienced which helps to understand the concept easily and faculty members are very helpful to students. There are unit test and class test arranged by the college and which helps the students get good score in their semester exam .
