It was later named as Sikkim Professional University and much later earned recognition by the UGC. It has recognition of several other institutional bodies such as AIU, INC, BCI, PCI and SNC. The University ranks 54 as per the India Today rankings of 2024 in the Govt/Pvt universities category. Apart from this, the University offers more than 50 specialisations through 13 department colleges and 100+ faculty.

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty and promising Pharma placements.

Placements: Around 60% students were placed. The highest package offered was 10 LPA, while the lowest was around 2LPA. The recruiting companies were Cipla Limited and Aristo. Almost 90% students got internship at the STNM hospital. The roles offered were Pharmacy Technician and Production Executive.

Infrastructure: The B.Pharma department at SPU has modern labs for all the core pharmacy subjects, Wi-Fi enabled classrooms, and a well stocked library. Hostels were clean with decent mess food, a canteen, basic medical care, and facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports.

Faculty: B.Pharma faculty at SPU were qualified, approachable, and use practical examples to explain concepts. The curriculum was industry oriented with LSBS and internships that build real world skills. Semester exams were moderately difficult, and most students clear them.

Other: I chose B.Pharma at SPU because it had career scope in healthcare and pharma, and I appreciate the hands on lab and supportive faculty. Improvement in advanced lab equipment and more industry visits would add value. The campus was peaceful with good connectivity, active events, scholarships, and a friendly environment.

Good college with good teachers.

Placements: In every batch, there are a total of 30 seats. Our seniors get a package of Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 salary package. From our course, companies like Opolo reach out to students and internships. We get to go to clinics in government hospitals which provide us a clear view of what we have to do in situations that need emergency treatment.

Infrastructure: We have a library and every little facility. But there is a water problem in winter like we get water at a certain time in winter. But in summer, we get 24X7 water. The seniors here are also so helpful and just like friends. We get our own rooms at the hostel. Hostel food is also tasty.

Faculty: Teachers are very cooperative and teach at our level as nursing is hard. Teachers try to show us demos to understand topics. We get a lab demo period where we get to learn on real human dummies. They provide us with real hospital settings to get used to real-life situations.

Other: I chose this course because I am fond of this campus and the education that it provided, and I always wanted to be a nurse.

Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: There are almost 200-300 students placed in my course. The highest package here is up to 10 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. I don't know about the percentage of students placed, but a good amount of students got good placement. My course has some selective roles.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities provided in our college are quite good. There is everything like Wi-Fi, labs, a library, a laboratory, etc. The facilities provided in the hostel are also quite good, but the quality of food in the mess is not that good. Although, the other facilities are good.

Faculty: The teachers here are quite good, helpful, and smart. They will help you with all doubts related to the course, and the curriculum is relevant and makes the students to be industry-ready. The semester exams in this college are a little difficult, but if you study well, you can score well.

Other: I chose this course because I was interested in it from the beginning. I like everything about this course because it gives knowledge about our ancient arts and culture. Events are held once in six months and scholarships are also provided.
