Yes, SMIT Sikkim Manipal University does offer BTech courses for over four years, divided into eight semesters. Further, offered in full-time mode. Moreover, the institute also offers lateral entry to BTech courses at SMIT. The basic eligibility criteria to get admission into BTech courses is that candidates must complete their Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved categories). Moreover, for admission to different Specialisation in BTech courses, candidates are required to pursue relevant subjects from: Physics & Maths (Mandatory) and anyone from the following: Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Chemistry/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship.

For some of the M.Tech specialisations, the institute grants the admissions on the basis of merit, and for others, the institute accepts the scores of GATE and the Manipal University Entrance Test. However, the basic eligibility criteria that are similar for all offered M.Tech specialisation are that candidates must complete their BE/BTech degree in a related field and must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% to 55% and 45% for reserved category candidates.

Additionally, on the official website of the institute, it does not mention that the institute accepts direct admissions to M.Tech courses. However, it is still suggested to the candidates that they can reach the admission department of the institute directly for the queries related to direct admissions at SMIT, Manipal University.

Canteens & food courts are also available for vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Recreation rooms with TVs, separate gymnasiums for boys and girls, and sports facilities are available.

The admissions committee will take into account the marks of previous year/exams in processing the applications. Applicants who receive offer letters can join with a provisional admission and submit their results later. To retain their admission, students must have received a minimum of 55% in a board recognised by the Government of India.
