When comparing just the tuition costs, NLSIU is noticeably more expensive than TNDALU. The cheaper hostel costs at TNDALU, however, somewhat make up for the disparity. Living costs are much more in Bangalore than they are in Chennai. Considering all of these variables, NLSIU's overall tuition for undergraduate programmes is probably more expensive than TNDALU's, however specific scholarship circumstances may differ. For postgraduate programmes, the difference in tuition fees between NLSIU and TNDALU is less, while the costs for housing are the same. Living costs are considerably greater in Bangalore than they are in Chennai, though. As a result, although the difference is somewhat smaller than for UG programmes, the overall cost of attending NLSIU for PG programmes is probably going to be somewhat more than TNDALU.

A significant criterion for admission into most B.Sc. programs is the attainment of at least 50% marks in pertinent subjects during the 12th grade, generally concentrating on Science disciplines such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology (PCMB). Specialized fields like Applied Chemistry, Physics or Zoology necessitate these specific subject requirements while Biochemistry and Bioinformatics demand a background in both Biology and Chemistry. In order to pursue Mathematics-based courses, securing a minimum of 50% in 12th grade Mathematics becomes imperative. The pathway to gaining entry into particular domains varies based on your chosen discipline. For instance, aspiring students interested in pursuing Applied Chemistry or Physics can gain access through TNPCEE scores whereas Computer Science or Electronics programs provide flexibility by accepting either TNPCEE or TNEA scores. It should be noted that proficiency in key subjects from the 12th grade curriculum - especially Math and Physics - holds paramount importance when considering these options. Moreover, TNEA scores combined with a scientific educational background are required for individuals inclined towards Geology studies. While those passionate about mathematics have the choice between opting for either TNPCEE orTNEA provided they excel academically in their math coursework during high school.
