ICFAI, Meghalaya was established in 2006 by the Government of Meghalaya under the provisions of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University Act, 2005. The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University Admission Process
ICFAI Admission Process is done online. However, payment of Rs 300 can be made either through debit/credit card or through DD drawn in favor of ‘The ICFAI University, Meghalaya.
The admission to ICFAI UG and PG programmes is made through the screening of applications and interviews. While evaluating students for admission, due weightage is given to their academic distinction, awards in sports/cultural events, debates, quizzes, and other extra co-curricular activities.
There is a special provision for admission of students belonging to the State of Meghalaya in any course of ICFAI University, Meghalaya or a constituent college, within the State of Meghalaya, which is not less than 25% of seats in each course/discipline subject to the students meeting the minimum qualifying requirements referred to above.
The duration period of BBA, BCA, and BA (Eco-Hons) courses is three years whereas the BTTM and Bachelor of Hotel BHM programmes are offered for four years. However, all the PG programmes are offered for two years. Candidates seeking admission to ICFAI programmes can refer to below-mentioned details:
- Admission to ICFAI UG programmes is based on the rank in the merit list, which is a culmination of marks obtained in Personal Interview and the scores in Class 12
- For admission to PG programmes, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in the required discipline as mentioned on the website and should appear for the personal interview

The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University Placements
ICFAI Placements are managed and headed by the designated training and placement wing. The training and placement wing monitors the training and placement activities on a full-time and continuous basis. The team evaluates student performance levels and ensures relevant preparation for their corporate placements
ICFAI also provides its students with the Internship Program. The Internship programme is undertaken either during summer or in the final semester for the UG programmes and after Semester-II for the MBA programme and is faculty-supervised. The internship programme is an attempt to bridge the gap between the professional world and the academic institutions.
