STEP 1: Begin With an Eligibility Check

The first step to the Woxsen University BTech admission process is the eligibility check. It is essential that all the students applying for the programme fulfill the eligibility requirements. Check out the below section to know how to perform an eligibility check:

Educational Qualification: To ensure that deserving students get to pursue the programme, the university has set the following conditions to be met by all the students seeking admission:

  • Boards: CBSE, ISC, State Boards, IB, Cambridge, or other Recognized Boards
  • Mandatory Subjects: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
  • Minimum Aggregate Percentage: Students must have secured a minimum of 55% in aggregate.

Entrance Examination: Woxsen University accepts a wide range of national-level entrance test scores for admission to the BTech programme. These tests are Woxsen Joint Engineering Entrance Test (W-JEET), IIT-JEE Main, VITEEE Mains, AP & TS EAMCET, MHT CET, and CUET. Students who have a valid score in any of the aforementioned examination can apply for any of the BTech programmes at Woxsen. Moreover, CUET applicants must have studied English as a language subject and any three of the below subjects as domain-specific subjects:

  • Physics

STEP 2: Apply for the programme from the Comfort of Your Home

Woxsen University provides students the option to apply online from the convenience of their homes. In order to apply, they are required to visit the university's official website at https://applications.woxsen.edu.in/ and fill out the registration form displayed on the screen. After successful registration, the students must access the newly made student account with the credentials received in the mail. After logging in, they have to fill out the application form, upload scanned documents, and submit the application fees. The fee to apply for the BTech programme is INR 2,000.

STEP 3: Screening and PI Process

Woxsen University carries out a thorough evaluation process. This innovative approach is aimed at the admission of the right candidate for the right course. To begin, the admission committee screens all the applications and shortlists students based on their academic records and composite entrance test scores. Moving on, these shortlisted students are required to participate in a PI process. During the interview, applicants are evaluated on various parameters such as knowledge about fields, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and more.

STEP 4: Acceptance of Offer Letter

Students who have showcased excellent performance in all the parameters are offered admission. The selected students receive their admission letter via mail. They get around seven days to either accept or decline the offer. are offered a seat after the interview process and are required to pay the first installment of the fees. Lastly, to confirm the seat, they must pay the commitment fee as prescribed in the admission offer letter.

Graduate Management Admission Council conducts the NMAT exam within a particular exam timeline. Every year, NMAT exam is usually scheduled to be conducted in the last quarter of a calendar year. Candidates are able to take the exam until December. Candidates can appear for the NMAT exam three times during the testing window. Soon after taking the first exam attempt, candidates can fill the retake registration form to apply for the NMAT retake. However, one can schedule a retake of the NMAT exam 15 days after the first take.

As per the Woxsen University NMAT cutoff 2024 was 160 for admission. For XAT it is usually 85+ percentile, whereas for GMAT it is 650+. For Woxsen Aptitude Test, candidates with 150 and above scores are selected.
