A unified exam schedule will be prepared by the higher education department of Madhya Pradesh for all the Universities of the state. 

The Directorate of Higher Education, Madhya Pradesh asked all the Universities and colleges not to a separate examination schedule as the department will be releasing a unified exam schedule for all the Universities located in Madhya Pradesh. The DHE, Madhya Pradesh also stated that it will be releasing s new academic calendar for the year 2020-21 soon.

Scrapping the semester exam schedule of the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) that were scheduled to begin from June 16, the state’s higher education department cleared that all the university of Madhya Pradesh will follow a unified examination schedule. The decision regarding the formulation of a unified examination was taken by the officials of the higher education department in a meeting conducted with the officials of various varsities via video conference on May 18.

Talking about preparing a common exam schedule, the DHE additional director, Dr Suresh Silawat, who will be acting as a moderator during the process, stated, "We will soon be coming out with an exam calendar for students of various undergraduate and postgraduate courses of all state universities."

He further added, “The department has also said that they will be conducting separate examination as well.” Talking about the release of the academic calendar 2020-21, Mr Silawat stated, “Within a span of a couple of days, we will issue a new academic calendar for the new session. It will be followed by all varsities and institutions.”

During the meeting, the document verification process for the BEd colleges was also removed considering the situation. It was decided in the meeting that physical verification of documents will be done by the colleges for BEd later and not during the admission process as social distancing might not be maintained.

Meanwhile, the officials decided that the sanitisation work will be done in an efficient manner and between regular intervals without fail. Considering the pandemic, not just the students but the staff members will also be made to follow all the precautionary and advisory against the COVID-19 spread laid down by the Health Ministry.
