Since my early school days, I wanted to become a Software Engineer. I was always interested and quite passionate about the techniques and advancements coming and always wanted to pursue my career in the Engineering field. Therefore, I opted for PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) as my core subjects in Class 11. I have been quite good in Mathematics and Science as subjects and have been an active participant in various inter-school competitions. I have also been presented with many awards in Olympiads. Because of my good marks in Class 10 exams, I could easily get admission to a good and reputed school with a good scholarship. Since then, I started practising computer, my interest in Web and Software Development increased. This led me to choose the Computer Science Engineering course after school. I was sure about this career and hence was moving in the same direction. Finally, I got admission in BTech CSE program at Apeejay Stya University.

Taking admission at Apeejay Stya University was not a resilient task for me. Since the beginning, I have been a scholar. And I can say, I was quite fortunate that I scored more than 90 per cent in Class 12 board exams because of which I was eligible for Dr Stya Paul Memorial Scholarship under which the student with a score more than 90 per cent in academics were given 95 per cent scholarship every year to pursue their degree. This was one of the big achievements of my whole life. As a part of the admission process, University conducts its own entrance exam. I never attended any coaching classes to prepare for the same rather I chose to study all by myself. I had shortlisted some more colleges too, but upon comparing the factors such as placements, faculty and infrastructure, I decided to join Apeejay Stya University only.

Though I am more interested in practical sessions than theory classes, I never miss any class and like to participate in all the class discussions in the best possible way. Not only studies, but I am also an active participant in various college events that are held on a regular basis. Apeejay Stya University is a student-centric university that also brings in various leadership opportunities to students such as managing the events, which I enjoy a lot. It offers big platforms for students to showcase their talent and skills. I am a core team member of the technical club of our university as well as a member of the Institution Innovation Council under which we organise many technical events. I am also an active NSS member. With the collaborative efforts of other team members and faculty members, we try to serve the society in the best possible manner.

The management also has a special focus on serving the nation and hence regularly conducts drives and visits to areas that are in utmost need. They believe it is important for us to be associated with some social cause or be a part of some social activity. To keep the morale of all students high, University keeps conducting guest lectures that are facilitated by industry experts. They come and share with us their journey so far, challenges and consequences and outcomes to motivate us and inspire us to be flexible and positive. This is the best university I believe. With the updated curriculum and more practical sessions, they aim at preparing us for a better tomorrow.
