Dibrugarh University UG, PG Exams 2021 deferred until further notice, students asked to vacate hostels

Precautionary such as restrictions on the entry of visitors to the campus, prohibition of all sorts of gatherings, assemblies on campus including cultural activities, sports among others, are being taken against the COVID-19 spread.

Dibrugarh University Semester Exams 2021 Postponed: Dibrugarh University decided to postpone all postgraduate and undergraduate exams which were to begin on April 26. According to the reports, the University has deferred the ongoing BCom, BA, BSc, BCom exams. Dibrugarh University students must note that the varsity is yet to announce the revised schedule for the exams. The decision to postpone the exams until further notice has been taken due to the rising cases of COVID-19. In order to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, the university has put up several other restrictions on the campus due to the pandemic. Precautionary such as restrictions on the entry of visitors to the campus, prohibition of all sorts of gatherings, assemblies on campus including cultural activities, sports among others, are being taken against the COVID-19 spread. Meanwhile, students whose exams have been postponed have been asked to vacate hostels.

The University will be running rotational shifts of the employees. Amid the terrifying second wave of the global pandemic, except for officers, only 50 per cent of employees will be present in the office at any given time. Pregnant women employees and women having children of five years of age or below irrespective of their grade have been asked to work from home, among some key restrictions.

Earlier, the University released a notification regarding the postponement of the UG, PG exams stating “This is for information to all concerned that all the PG Examination (both CBCS & Non-CBCS) scheduled on 19th and 20th April 2021 in the University Departments, Centre for Studies and other affiliated colleges/ Institutes under Dibrugarh University have been postponed.”

It further reads in other notice, “This is for information to all concerned that 1st-semester BTech. Examination scheduled on 19th April 2021 and first-semester BlibISc examination scheduled on 20th April 2021 has been postponed. However, the rest of the Examinations and all the other examinations like BA/BBA/BCom. LLB (H) having multiple centres will be held as per the schedule notified earlier. Fresh dates of the postponed examinations will be notified in due course of time.”
