Rohit Pawar alleges Rs. 25 lakh demanded for engineering admissions

Addressing the media, Pawar alleged that a network of agents was offering candidates admission to top engineering colleges in exchange for large payments. He claimed that candidates were being assured high MHT CET percentiles. He also alleged that centres were being managed to help candidates secure favourable results. Teachers and education experts reportedly approached him with evidence and recordings of the alleged malpractice, and he now demands a judicial inquiry into the matter.

CET Cell forms task force to examine sting operation

Responding to the latest allegations, CET Cell Commissioner Dilip Sardesai said that a task force has already been formed to examine videos and claims related to the alleged sting operation. He said the authorities had asked those making the allegations to submit the available recordings and evidence to the CET Cell. The department would verify the authenticity and take action under the law if any wrongdoing was established. He also confirmed that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) had been constituted to investigate allegations of MHT-CET score manipulation. The CET Cell is cooperating with the investigation.
