Jamia Millia University recorded 100% internship placement for MSc programme in banking

According to the official reports, the first batch of students of MSc in banking and financial analytics, Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI), recorded a 100 per cent summer internship placement this year.

Jamia Millia Islamia Placements 2021: JMI University completed the summer internship placements for the first batch of MSc students. According to the official reports, the first batch of students of MSc in banking and financial analytics, Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI), recorded a 100 per cent summer internship placement this year. The course was launched by Jamia’s department of economics launched the course in 2019 with its first batch comprising a total of 42 students.

Lauding the efforts put in by Jamia Millia Islamia’s Department of economics for launching and running an excellent programme, Najma Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor,JMI, stated “It [100 per cent placement] will further enhance the image of the department of economics and the Jamia Millia Islamia alike,” Akhtar said congratulating the department.

The University also received words of appreciation from SK Naqvi, director of FTK-Centre for Information Technology for its “intelligent use of IT components” in the curriculum which helped in increasing the employability of students. “The entire fourth semester of the programme is devoted to an internship with a view that the students can have a practical experience and are groomed enough so that they are fully ready for their smooth final placement with no cultural shock,” said Halima Sadia Rizvi, head of the economics department.

Meanwhile, JMI conducted its odd semester and year-end exams via a virtual mode that is in online open book mode after January 15. According to the official reports, JMI also conducted mock tests before conducting the online open-book exams to identify and sort out glitches.
