Through my university education, I have been exposed to various disciplines in management. I have developed strong fundamentals by exploring deeper perspectives and studying an innovative curriculum from a remarkable faculty which has provided me with a strong platform for achieving my academic and career goals ahead. It has instilled in me a sense of confidence and taught me to be pragmatic and passionate in everything I do.

A new experience, change from normal, and living away from home: this was my college life. The transition of high school student to college seemed immensely overwhelming but scary at the same time. It is a known fact that the life of high school and college is different from one another, with the latter allowing us to take complete ownership of our time and the responsibility of who we want to become. My high school ended, and it was time to start a new chapter.

I still remember the first day of college. I took admission in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA Hons.) at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS). I was nervous and not sure if I was ready to spend three years away from home at a residential college. The feeling of being homesick, surrounded by unfamiliar faces around the campus, living with people you have never met before were some of the challenges I faced initially. However, these emotions faded soon and what was left at the end were experiences filled with sentiments and friends that I could call family. Little did I know then that this place would turn into home that I would never want to leave.

As days passed, I soon realised that the decision to study at such a premier institution was one of the best decisions of my life. Jindal Global Business School is a renowned institution in India that provides multi-disciplinary global business education and experiential learning through its diverse courses, faculty, world-class infrastructure, industrial connects, seminars, and international collaborations.

Interacting with peers in the classroom, informative discussions with professors, working on team projects, guest lectures, and networking with professionals from the industry were some of the ways which have helped me develop problem-solving skills and enhanced my communication skills. Studying at JGBS has prepared me to be a future business leader and equipped me with the knowledge and abilities to overcome any challenge with a positive attitude.

Apart from regular curriculum, JGU provided me with ample opportunities to engage in extra-curricular activities. I was actively involved in organising cultural and sports fests hosted by the university. This made me realise of my leadership skills, and helped me learn team management skills.

Through JGBS international collaborations, I was fortunate enough to study at Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, USA for a semester.

Lao Tzu rightly said, “The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step”.  It almost feels like it was just yesterday when I packed my bags and started this new journey.

Soon, the graduation day arrived. I was nervous but also felt overwhelmed at the same time as I was receiving a gold medal for securing first position in BBA(Hons.). After the opening speeches, and the calling off the names that were in front of me, it was finally my turn. As I stood up and walked towards the stage it had set in at last, this is it, I am done. Another journey came to an end, but the feeling of not wanting to leave brought tears to my eyes. Reflecting upon the past three years, I get reminded of all the beautiful memories I had created and the innumerable moments that are etched in my heart forever. I would like to thank Jindal Global Business School, O.P. Jindal Global University for providing me with an enriching educational experience and shaping me into a better person.
