Praxis Business School organises HR Conclave on Critical Competencies for Digital HR
The world is undergoing an era of digital transformation. With introduction of Artificial Intelligence and smart machines, the lifestyle of humans is changing at an immense speed. The way we communicate, consume, use time, and work, all is getting affected. A lot of human oriented tasks have been successfully taken over by progressively intelligent machines.
This is in all likelihood to have a disruptive effect on the destiny of human work – not just recurring blue collar activities but also non-habitual cognitive white collar.
To discuss this new phenomena, Praxis Business School on September 27, 2019 organised an HR Conclave which was aimed at providing a platform for discussing HR practices, issues and challenges for sustenance in the digital era.
The event was attended by prominent experts from the HR organization, who shared their journey, learning and direction in this energising area.
The keynote speaker of the conclave was Emami Group President Human Resource Nihar Ranjan Ghosh.
The entire panel was divided into two. While the first panel was moderated by Professor Charanpreet Singh, Founder Director, Praxis Business School Foundation and Professor Prithwis Mukerjee, Director, Praxis Business School. Professor Kankana Paul compered the event and walked the audience through the HR Conclave.

The panel had some prominent personalities, including Unigrow Solutions Private Limited Director Dr Chandrima Banerjee; Deloitte Geo Talent Lead Aloke Tagore; Consultant, Coach and Career Guide Jaishankar Gopalan; HRD India Chief Executive Officer Dr Siddhartha Pande; and ICICI Bank Corporate Trainer & Former Eastern Region Head-HR Shahida Hussain.
The HR Conclave attempted to create a platform to analyse the implications of this disruption for the human workforce. It also had in-depth discussions on how HR can enable the digital enterprise and explore ways of building skills necessary for the digital world.
