IIM Jammu admission criteria 2027-2029 - Selection of candidates will be done through IIM CAP 2027. The minimum cut off is expected to be 95 percentile for General category. IIM Jammu will release the admission criteria document for 2027-2029 batch soon.
IIM Jammu Admission Criteria
IIM Jammu Admission Criteria 2027-2029 for Post Graduate Programme (PGP) will be announced soon. The selection process will include Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI), for which candidates will be shortlisted through IIM CAP. The minimum CAT cut off for PI shortlisting may remain the same as last year. CAT 2026 exam will be conducted on November 29, 2026. CAT 2026 result will be declared in the third week of December 2026. IIM Jammu will release the PI shortlist through IIM CAP link in the second week of January 2027. IIM Jammu admission criteria MBA batch 2026-28 - The selection process included shortlisting of candidates through CAT 2025 score and Common Admission Process or the CAP.
IIM Jammu, is a participant in Common Admission Process (CAP), also called Personal Appearance (PA). It is a joint shortlisting process for IIM Jammu, IIM Bodhgaya and IIM Sirmaur. Under the CAP 2026, IIM Jammu aspirants had to fill the CAP form for getting shortlisted for the PI round.
The CAT cut off, for IIM Jammu 2026 batch was 95 percentile for General candidates, 81 for EWS and NC-OBC, 66 for SC and 42 for ST/PwD candidates. The CAT cut offs for female candidates was 2 percentile less in all categories. IIM Jammu additionally conducted the Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) for candidates who meet the IIM Jammu shortlisting criteria but not the CAP cut off criteria. Commonly asked questions
CAT cut off is prepared by all accepting colleges individually. There is no one authorized body to do so. Even the IIMs determine their admission cut offs separately.
IMs and top business schools use CAT percentiles and sectional cutoffs to shortlist candidates for selection rounds. For final selection, they assign a 25 per cent to 65 per cent weightage to the CAT score, combining it with academics, work experience, and interviews.
IIM Jammu Admission 2026-28: Generation of Merit List for Final Selection
Final selection was done among the candidates who cleared the WAT-PI round; on the basis of the composite score arrived at after calculating their scores viz. the above-mentioned parameters. The selection list was finalised and released in May 2026.
Candidates selected for IIM Jammu admission had to confirm admission by sending Offer Acceptance and an Offer Acceptance amount of INR 50,000 to the institute. Upon admission withdrawal within the date specified by the Institute, Offer Acceptance Amount refund was applied after deducting INR 1,000 as processing charges.
