SCHMTT Organises Three-Day International Seminar on ‘Xenia- Bestowing Hospitality’
November 3, 2020: As a part of the industry connect and knowledge management initiative, Pune based one of the premier NAAC accredited institute Suryadatta College of Hospitality Management and Travel Tourism (SCHMTT) recently launched a three-day webinar on ‘Xenia- Bestowing Hospitality’.
The international seminar ‘Xenia’ was conceptualised with the combined input of industry specialists, senior academicians and alumni on a pan-Indian and overseas basis, providing students with useful expertise and industry perspectives from distinguished industry stalwarts. Students were exposed to fresh approaches and new solutions important to all hospitality departments such as Food styling, Food Blogging, Airport Catering, Wine Appreciation, Mixology and Shrubs, Cloud kitchens, Food Historian, Facility Management and much more. The seminar was attended by a total of 250 students and teachers from SCHMTT and other institutes and colleges across Maharashtra.
The institute invited prominent industry specialist such as Pandurang Taware, a renowned entrepreneur in Agro Tourism; Chef Nitin Tandon, CEO of Clear Water Hospitality Services; Amar Shrivastava, Chef Eureka Araujo; Chef Rahul Wali, Ramesh Upadhyay, Bapji Jinaga, Airport Catering, Anshay Jain and Karthick to talk on various topics such as Brewery careers, Pastry Making, History of food, careers in facility management, Science of Mixing Fluids, Airport Catering and Laundry management as a career.
Students stated that they have learned many facets of the realistic aspects of what they do in the classroom.
