Q:   When will the JKCET result release?
A: 

JKCET 2026 result will be announced in May 2026. After the result is released, the JKCET merit list will be prepared on the inter-se merit acquired by students in the exam (in descending order for Open Merit Category and for each Reserved Category, separately). Qualified candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process.

Q:   Is there any qualifying marks in JKCET exam?
A: 

The minimum marks to qualify in the JKCET exam is 10. A candidate having scored less than 10 marks on the entrance test shall not be considered for admission.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in JKCET?
A: 

In JKCET, candidates have to attempt Multiple-Choice Questions. JKCET is held in offline, pen and paper based mode in english language only. The entrance test is based on the courses of study and syllabi of the 12th class. JKCET exam will have 1 paper that will have 3 sections - Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Eavh section will have 60 questions of marks each. The total marks in the paper is 180 and the total questions are 180.

Q:   What is the level of JKCET exam?
A: 

The entrance test is based on the courses of study and syllabus of the 12th class. 

As per the marking scheme of JKCET, 1 marks is awarded for each correct answer and for ecach wrong answer, 0.25 marks is deducted. Each 3 section of the question paper has 60 questions and has mamximum 60 marks. Maximum marks is thus 180.

Candidates who wish to raise objection in JKCET answer key can submit their challenge within three days of the release of answer key. The objection has to be submitted in written, as per the format provided in the answer key notice. Candidates will also have to submit supporting document for their challenge. The fees for challenging the JKCET answer key is INR 1000 payable at POS machine in BOPEE office Srinagar/Jammu.
