CENTAC 2026 Counselling: Revised Draft Merit List (OUT), Seat Allotment, Cutoff, Eligibility, Admission Process

Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry, conducts the counselling for admission of students to various undergraduates engineering programmes (BTech). The counselling is conducted every year based on the JEE Main ranks of candidates. CENTAC also conducts admissions for first-year MBBS, BAMS, BDS, BVSc & AH, BPT, BSc (Nursing), BSc (MLT), BPharma, BA LLB, LLB, BSc (Agriculture) and BSc (Horticulture) programmes and postgraduate programmes.

The authorities have released the draft CENTAC 2026 merit list. Candidates will have to visit the official website to download CENTAC merit list 2026. No login credentials are needed, since it is available in PDFs. Separate merit lists are released for overall, Puducherry and other state candidates. Objections against draft merit list will be accepted through candidate login. After all objections are checked, final merit list will be prepared.

Registered candidates can check their qualifying status through CENTAC 2026 merit list. Registration for CENTAC 2026 counselling was open online. Candidates had to select preferred courses and colleges and submit it only after successful registration. CENTAC counselling will be held online. Allotment will be done according to merit and preferences. Once allotted, they will have to confirm their admission.

For course selection, candidates will have to login to their CENTAC BTech lateral entry dashboard and select college and course preferences and submit before the deadline. Based on rank and academic performance, students will be allotted seats for admission.

CENTAC 2026 application process has ended. Candidates could register for CENTAC 2026 counselling until June 3. No applications were accepted after final date. During CENTAC application, candidates had to fill required personal, academic and contact information. They also had to upload their scanned photograph and signature according to official guidelines. Next, candidates had to pay CENTAC 2026 application fee through net banking/credit card/debit card. The authorities did not accept offline payments.

Before CENTAC 2026 Counselling registration, candidates should check eligibility criteria. Detailed criteria for exam can be checked below.

• Students should have passed three years Diploma Course or four years sandwich Diploma Course in Engineering Technology with minimum 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in the subjects covered in 3rd to 6th Semesters OR
• Should have passed any B.Sc. Degree (with Mathematics as one subject at Degree Level) with minimum 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC candidates) in aggregate in subjects covered from first to last semesters except language subjects. This criteria is only for residents of Union Territory of Puducherry.

NOTE: B.Sc. candidates shall be considered for admission only for unfilled seats after filling the available seats with Diploma Candidates.
