The TNEA round 1 choice filling will start from July 20.
10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for TNEA counselling. Admission will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths, Physics and Chemistry, which will be reduced to 200 (Maths - 100, Physics - 50 and Chemistry - 50). TNEA 2026 Rank List Release Date
The TNEA 2026 merit list is based on candidates' class 12 marks, which are scaled to a 200-point system: 100 for Mathematics and 50 each for Physics and Chemistry. This normalised score determines the final rank for the counselling process. TNEA Counselling Choice Filling Date 2026
The TNEA counselling process for 2026 begins with choice filling. Candidates listed in the TNEA rank list 2026 can log in to the official TNEA website to participate in this process. TNEA choice filling can be done online only on official website after TNEA registration. Candidates are recommended to fill in as many choices as possible to increase your chances of getting a seat based on their rank. If a candidate fails to lock choice before choice filling deadline, then their choices will be automatically locked.

After the seat allotment is done, candidates have to select any one of the below given options for their allotted seats:

Candidates have to select any one of the above and submit their choice for the allotted seat within by the deadline. If a candidate fail to select any one of the above choice, they will be eliminated from further counselling process.

TNEA 2026 Random Number Release Date
All the applicants are assigned a random number for the tie breaker process in the TNEA merit list. If all other tie-breaking criteria for determining rank in the TNEA merit list are unsuccessful, a 10-digit random number assigned to each candidate is used to break the ties. The candidate with the higher value of the random number is given preference in the merit list.
