How to prepare for DU JAT in three months
The difficulty level of questions in the DU JAT exam is usually moderate to difficult. To qualify for DU JAT, an aspirant has to stay focused throughout the three-month period. An aspirant can divide his prep period into three parts. The first month should be devoted to cover the entire syllabus, the second for practising the mock test and the third for revision. We are sharing a few tips that will help you prepare for DU JAT 2022 in three months.
Develop a schedule as per your needs: A participant should devise his study plan as per his requirements. First and foremost, an aspirant should have clarity about the topics he is good at and the ones he needs to improve. If an aspirant follows news regularly and is in a habit of reading English novels, s/he will have a better go at these sections. S/he can spend the first month of his preparation period learning all the key topics in Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. Alternately, if a candidate is good at Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Reasoning, s/he should devote time to improve General English and General Awareness and simultaneously, revise the quant and reasoning topics that they have already covered.
Don’t lose focus: Often an aspirant starts his/her preparation with a lot of zeal and vigour but loses focus intermittently. Even if they devote just two to three hours for DU JAT preparation, it will be sufficient provided they utilise this time qualitatively and stick to it till the exam. Aspirants should study at an hour when their attention span is maximum and they feel refreshed. It can be either late night or early morning as per the aspirants' convenience and comfort level.
Practise mocks: Practising mocks has to be the most important part of DU JAT preparation. An aspirant should practice at least a dozen mocks before taking the actual exam. The mock tests should ideally start before two months of the exam. An aspirant can easily assess his standing in the contest by practising DU JAT Question papers and mock tests. Additionally, it will also help an aspirant to devise his section-wise approach while taking the exam. It will also help him tackle exam pressure and ace time management.
Assess your takeaways from each session: Aspirants should make a table of the topics they have learned from each study session. Instead of toiling for hours, if an aspirant plans his studies smartly and focuses on productivity, it will help him score well in DU JAT 2022. It is important for an aspirant to set practical targets and cover them within the defined timeline. However, it is also crucial for an aspirant to not let the rest of his preparations affected if he has failed to cover certain topics.
Revise all the key topics and concepts. The last month of the preparation period should be invested in revision. Students should go over all the key topics and concepts to brush up their memory. It is advisable that the best of the last month should be spent on working on your strengths. Also, make sure you have attempted at least 10 previous years' DU JAT question papers before the actual exam.
