Class 12 Board Result: Comparative Analysis of Pass Percentage 2023 vs 2022, 2021, 2020
As almost all board exam 2023 results are out, let us look at a comparative analysis of the pass percentages of various state and national boards.

Class 12th Board Exam Pass Percentages: The outbreak of the novel coronavirus, followed by several lockdowns imposed in order to curb the virus spread tremendously affected the board exams across the nation over the past 2 years. It is in 2023 Boards across the nation conducted the board exams in a normal manner. Since 2020, board exam results across several central and state boards witnessed significant highs and lows. Pass percentages of various board results such as UP 12th result 2022, WBCHSE results 2022, JAC 10th results 2022, Mah 12th results 2022 and more, recorded a lot of variation as compared to the years 2020 and 2021. While board exam 2023 results are yet to be released, let us look at a comparative analysis of the pass percentages of various state and national boards like the CBSE and ICSE.

CBSE 12th result: Pass percentage trend
CBSE 12th Result 2023 Pass Percentage dropped by 5.38%. The overall pass percentage for CBSE Class 12 result 2023 stood 87.3%. In the class 12 result, girls have performed better than boys by 6.01 per cent. Girls have recorded an overall pass percentage of 90.69 per cent as compared to boys who secured a pass percentage of 84.67per cent. In the third gender category, 60 per cent students passed the exam.
CBSE 12th Results 2021 recorded a whopping CBSE Class 12 pass percentage 2021 of 99.37% a significant increase from 88.78% in 2020, However, in 2022, the pass percentage for CBSE 12th results dropped to 92.71%. In the post-pandemic era, the board finally got the chance to conduct CBSE 12th board exams 2023 in a normal manner. According to the data released by the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), Girls did better than Boys by 0.54% in the year 2022. The result of girl students stood at 99.67% whereas boys recorded a pass percentage of 99.13%, in 2022. In 2020, 88.78 per cent of students had passed. Girls had done better than boys by 5.96 per cent.

ISC 12th Results: Pass percentage trend
In 2022, the ISC pass percentage stood at 99.38%. In 2021, ISC 12th results recorded a pass percentage of 99.76%, whereas, in 2020, 96.84% of students cleared the exam. According to the data released by the Board, Around 94,011 candidates appeared for ISC Class 12 Board Exams 2021. Meanwhile, CISCE is yet to announce ISC Result 2023.

State Class 12 Board Results: Pass percentage trend
State boards across the country are adopting several alternative evaluation methods to release higher secondary board results. Many state boards even decided to promote all students without exams amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation. However, in 2023, many Class 12 state board exams were conducted mostly in a normal manner. Comparative analysis of the past years’ pass percentages of state boards revealed a distinct increase in pass percentages in 2021 and a drop in 2022 as compared to the year 2020. The analysis revealed 10th RBSE result 2021, several state boards such as UPMSP result 2021, Kar SSLC results 2022, JKBOSE results, HBSE results 2021, GSEB 10th results and more recorded nearly 100 per cent pass percentages. However, mahresult.nic.in 2021 HSC results, JAC 10th results 2021, UK Board 10th results, and a few more did not touch all-time high bar. For 2023, majority of Boards are yet to release Class 12 board results. However, pass percentage 2023 for many state boards have bee updated in the table.
