GSEB HSC grading System 2024

GSEB HSC Grading system 2025: The Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will release the GSEB HSC result 2025 by first week of May 2025. The GSEB HSC grading system contains grades from A1 to D. Those who score 91-100 marks are awarded with A1 grade. The grade points for A1 grade is 10 points. GSEB HSC grading system helps students to know the grades and the corresponding grade points. 

GSEB HSC result 2025 for General stream will be released along with GSEB HSC result 2025 Science stream. The GSEB HSC exams 2025 were held from February 27, 2025 to March 17, 2025.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board will release the GSEB HSC result 2026 in May 2026. The GSEB HSC result 2026 will be published on the official website - gseb.org. Students have to enter the six-digit seat number to check the GSEB HSC result 2026. GSEB HSC result 2025 was out on May 5, 2025.

Q:   What is the passing criteria of GSEB 12th result?
A:

A minimum of 33% passing marks are required in each subject and an aggregate for the students to be declared as pass in GSEB Class 12 exams. Any student failing to score the 33% marks will have to appear for GSEB HSC supplementary examination. An aggregate mark of 33% is mandatory to clear the GSEB HSC examination. Students must obtain minimum of grade ‘D’ in all subjects to clear GSEB HSC board exam. 

Q:   Will the Gujarat Board release the topper list along with GSEB HSC exam result?
A:

No, the Gujarat board will not release the GSEB HSC result toppers list. In 2025, the Board did not publish the names of GSEB HSC result toppers for Science stream. GSEB will declare the statistics of the GSEB HSC Result 2026. Also, the details about the performance of the various districts and schools in the state will be published.

Q:   How do you find the percentage of GSEB HSC result 2026?
A:

Many students are unable to calculate the percentage of marks obtained in GSEB exams. Therefore, they can follow the steps below to calculate their percentage:

Step 1: Divide the obtained marks by the maximum marks

Step 2: Multiply the result by 100

Example 1: A student scored 1156 marks in the examination out of 1200 marks. Calculate the percentage of marks secured by the student. Go through the example given below to understand the process of finding the percentage of marks.

Solution:

Number of marks scored = 1156

Maximum marks = 1200

Percentage of marks= Marks obtained/Maximum marks x 100

Percentage of marks = (1156/1200) × 100

Percentage= 0.9633…. × 100

Therefore, the percentage of marks obtained is 96.3%

Q:   What if I fail in subjects in GSEB Class 12 exams?
A:

Those students who fail in GSEB 12th board exam can appear for the supplementary exams. The dates of the GSEB 12th supplementary exam will be released after the release of the GSEB 12th result.

Q:   What is the mark required to score A1 grade in Gujarat board 12th result 2026?
A:

91 to 100 marks are needed to achieve A1 grade in the GSEB HSC result 2026. Students can check the grading pattern below.
