While Class 10 exams have been cancelled for the current academic year, decision on Class 12 exams will be taken after a month.
The Jammu Kashmir government has decided to cancel the JKBOSE Class 10 examinations and postpone the ongoing JKBOSE Class 12 examinations due to the surge in coronavirus cases in the state and across the country. Class 10 students will be promoted to the next class and the decision on the Class 12 exams will be announced after one month.
Students of JKBOSE class 10 will be promoted based on internal assessment and exams for which the students have already appeared.
As per the JKBOSE exam schedule, the Class 10 and 12 examinations have already begun on April 3 and April 1, 2021, respectively. JKBOSE Class 10 exams were to conclude on April 24, 2021, whereas Class 12 exams were to continue till April 29, 2021.
The announcement was made through the Twitter handle of the office of the Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir on April 14 recorded 1,086 fresh COVID-19 cases, including 248 travellers, taking the infection to a total count of 1,41,736.
