
PSEB minister suggested the state and national education boards must conduct exams only for three elective subjects as the passing-out students need to choose professional courses in medical, non-medical and commerce.
PSEB 12th Exams 2021: Punjab School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla on May 24 stated that the Centre must ensure the safety of students before taking any decision on Class 12 board exams. In a high-level meeting conducted on Sunday, i.e. May 23, with Union ministers, Mr Singla said that βamidst the pandemic, safety and security of students and teachers must be the top priority of the government and every possible step should be taken in this regard.β
According to the reports, the minister suggested the state and national education boards must conduct exams only for three elective subjects as the passing-out students need to choose professional courses in medical, non-medical and commerce. The meeting was also attended by School Education Secretary Krishan Kumar and Punjab School Education Board Chairman Yograj.
Mr Singla informed that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had already taken the decision to promote the students of PSEB 10th students. Same procedure will be followed for students of Class 5 and 8. The PSEB 10th results 2021 along with results of Classes 8 and 5 had already been declared.
Reports also suggest that the PSEB chairman, Yog Raj Sharma, has said that the PSEB 12th Board Exam 2021 question papers are ready and answer sheets have been made available. PSEB 12th Board Exams will be conducted in a total of 2600 centres following all the precautionary against the COVID-19 spread. The PSEB 12th Board exam 2021 dates are yet to be decided. Over 3.18 lakh students will be for the PSEB 12th Board Exam 2021.
