Great for law, needs upgrade.
Placements: Historic campus, vibrant student life, affordable education, but lacks in placements and practical exposure. Good for motivated students willing to build their career path. Around 15%-20% of students from the course got placed through university or personal efforts.
Infrastructure: Great legacy and academic value, but it needs better infrastructure, placements, and student facilities. Best for self-driven students aiming for the judiciary, litigation, or civil services. Sports grounds exist for cricket, football, and athletics. However, equipment and maintenance are not up to standard.
Faculty: Strong academic base and experienced faculty, but outdated teaching methods and weak industry exposure. Good for civil/judicial exam aspirants, not ideal for corporate law careers. Semester exams are moderately difficult, theory-heavy, and require good writing skills, with regular study, exams are manageable.
Other: Academically strong with good faculty and peer learning, but lacks practical exposure, modern infrastructure, and placements. Great for judiciary/civil service aspirants on a budget.

Faculty of law, University of Allahabad.
Placements: The placement cell of this college is average, not much high. You can get an average placement of 4-5 lakhs. Approximately half of the students are placed. And you can also get internship opportunities from this college at High court of Allahabad and also at District courts.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is so good. The whole campus is connected with wifi , you can use internet at any where and can complete your work. Also the faculty has a big library in which you can get any law book which you want to study. The college also provides hostel facilities which includes mess and canteen and also ground for playing sports.
Faculty: The faculties of this college are very well qualified, helpful and very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is so good. The duration of BA LLB course is of 5 years. The examination is conducted twice in a semester firstly the mid term and then the end semester. The semester exams are not that tough you can pass it easily.
Other: I have chosen this college because I want to do my bachelor's from a recognized central university. The college annually conducts a fest in the hostel campus.

Review of Law Faculty, University of Allahabad .
Placements: This is one of the major drawbacks of the Allahabad University Faculty of Law: it has no placement cell. The university is focused on the judiciary and litigation and the corporate sector is not encouraged here. As there is no concept of placement, we do not have an internship cell as well. You have to find your own through connections.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay, but there is no campus life here. We do not have a canteen on the faculty premises. There is a library, which is good. We also get access to online databases, such as Manupatra. Classrooms are well ventilated and air-conditioned. The hostel premises are quite good. They maintain cleanliness and hygiene conditions.
Faculty: Okay, this is something great about the faculty. The faculty is good, mostly. They are all Ph.D. holders with a good number of years of experience. Also, the faculty is very helpful and they even guide you personally if you approach them. They provide study materials, which are very helpful during exams.
Other: So as there is no campus life, we do not have any events organized as well. The students organize an annual event by themselves. Law as a department is very renowned at Allahabad University because of its success rate in the judiciary and other civil service examinations. Also, the location of the campus, which is around 10 km from Allahabad High Court, makes it very helpful. We have workshops and orientations where they invite judges and successful lawyers from Allahabad High Court with whom you can connect and build connections .

Absolutely satisfied because of good environment and faculty.
Placements: 100% placements are offered. The highest package is INR 20 lacs. The lowest is INR 10 lacs. The average package is INR 6 lacs. The top recruiting companies are Tata, Jio, and other industries. 60 to 70% of students got internships at Jio, Reliance, and other top companies like Aditya Birla and Tata Industries. The top roles offered are legal advisor and claims head.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi enabled with a good network. We have moot courts. There are 10 classrooms. There is one library. There are no hostels available for law students in my area but there are Shatabdi hostels related to the University of Allahabad. The quality of food is average, medical facilities are good, and sports and other events are held from time to time.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Yes, the teachers are qualified. Strict rules follow during the semester exams and the pass percentage is above 90%. In my college, the minimum pass rate is 40 percent in each subject; there are six subjects in each semester.

It offers many opportunities.
Placements: Allahabad university doesn't have any placement cell, but students with good intellect getting placement in various law firms. Students should work hard to get placement, but almost 50% of UP-PCSJ aspirants selected for Allahabad university faculty of law.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this university is not too good in comparison to NLUs, but yes all types of facilities like library, computer lab, Wi-Fi available here. Quality of food is average. All types of facilities like medicine, sport and games are available here. And the best thing of this university is it organize quiz competition, essay writing, debate competition regularly organize by law faculty of AU.
Faculty: There is no compromise in faculty members, they are well educated, and they have immense intellect. Curriculum or syllabus of this Law faculty defined by 'Bar Council Of India' and other colleges follow this Syllabus. Semester is not too tough, teachers covers everything relevant to exam.
Other: I chose this university because it has very huge alumni base, and it gives me opportunity to meet judge and advocate every day .

Allahabad University Law Faculty has a good reputation in PCS J exams.
Placements: There are no good placements, but if students want to join law firms or corporate companies, then they can get it on their own. The highest salary package offered is around 12 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 7 LPA. In our college, students are more into the preparation of exams like the judiciary and civil services.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure with good quality of rooms. Students of the first year have to spend their first year in an old building. In the second year, students are transferred to a new building. Hostel facilities are also good and equipped with Wi-Fi, telephone, television and many other things like indoor and outdoor games, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, knowledgeable, and generous, and their teaching quality is perfect. If you are more interested in the judiciary, then it's a perfect place. Teachers are also focused on judiciary exams like PCS-J exams.
Other: I have chosen this course because the law has an emerging and bright career. It is an integrated course which also saves 1 year, and it is a very good course who want to prepare for civil services and judiciary exams.

It is a good college for judiciary exam preparation.
Placements: Many students do internships. If your marks are good, then college will provide you with many opportunities for placements. Generally, students go for judiciary exam preparation, and some students go for litigation. Here you can go for practice also at the high court of Allahabad.
Infrastructure: The facilities of the main campus are good. You will get free Wi-Fi on the campus, but sometimes it is not available. The hostel facility is very good. The distance of the hostel from campus is not much. The quality of the food served in a mess is also average.
Faculty: You will have no complaints about the faculty members. All the teachers are good and hard working. You will get proper guidance from the teachers. Semester exams are not very difficult, and you can prepare for those comfortably. You will also get guidance from seniors about various competitive exams.
Other: I have chosen the course for the preparation of the judiciary exams. If you are coming for competitive exam preparation or for doing practice, then it is very good.

This college is worth studying for students who are aspiring to prepare for the judiciary.
Placements: During our tenure, there were no placements. There was a placement cell for placements purpose, but it did not work as our university authority did not show interest. Mainly students take admission in this college to prepare for the judiciary.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college and hostel is good, and you will feel like you are at your home. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel as well as in classrooms. Air-conditioners are available in all classrooms, including the library. Cleanliness is maintained.
Faculty: All teachers here were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was very good. The course curriculum is much relevant to the judiciary of many states and for many PSUs. Students get seminars with famous advocates and judges from the high court. Faculty members are very supportive and always try to motivate.
Other: I chose this course as its course curriculum is suitable for judiciary preparation. The library should issue more books to students, and it should also provide the latest books. Every year an annual fest, freshers and farewell parties are arranged by students. The connectivity is very easy. State scholarships are provided for every student. Moots courts are arranged by faculty members, and many seminars are arranged.

Allahbad University has a cutoff criteria for 45 per cent if you apply for their law programme. The STs and OBCs have a very less requirment as that's 42 for SCs and 40 per cent for the OBCs.
