B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028

Well-rounded experience with good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and decent placements.
Placements: I completed my B.E. In computer science from Angadi Institute of Technology and Management, Belagavi, in the 2023 batch. Various technical events, workshops, and placement training sessions were organized to enhance students' skills and employability. Around 75%-80% of students from our batch were placed. The highest package offered was around 10 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average package was approximately 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra. About 60% of students received internships.
Infrastructure: Our computer science department at Angadi College had well-equipped computer labs with high-speed internet, updated software, and reliable systems. Classrooms were spacious and had smart boards for interactive learning. The entire campus, included labs and the library, had Wi-Fi access. The central library was well-stocked with textbooks, reference materials, and digital resources, supporting academic and research needs. The hostels were clean, secure, and had basic amenities like Wi-Fi, study rooms, and laundry. The mess provided decent food with a balanced menu, while the canteen served snacks. The infrastructure was decent.
Faculty: Teachers at Angadi College were quite helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective fields. Most faculty members held postgraduate degrees, and some had participated in Ph.D. programs in technical events. The teaching quality was good, with a mix of theoretical explanation and practical applications. The course curriculum, based on VTU guidelines, was fairly relevant and included updated subjects such as data science, AI, and cloud computing, which helped in building industry-required skills. Regular workshops and coding sessions added value. Semester exams were moderately difficult and required consistent study. The overall pass percentage was around 80%-85%. The college provided a good academic environment with experienced faculty.
Other: I chose computer science engineering at Angadi College because of my strong interest in technology, programming, and problem-solving. It offered wide career opportunities in software development, data science, and emerging tech fields. The best things about the course were the practical-oriented labs, supportive faculty, regular coding competitions, and placement training programs. However, I wish the syllabus included more hands-on industry projects and advanced elective options aligned with current trends, such as DevOps, blockchain, and cybersecurity. The college hosted technical events, hackathons, and annual fests like Aarambh, which were enjoyable. The campus had a decent crowd, good atmosphere, and was well-connected.

Our beautiful college, AITM.
Placements: In our college last year, some people were placed in companies, and most people in training companies, so there is a 3-star rating. The average package is 3 to 4 LPA. Companies like TCS and Accenture are mainly coming. Internships are given in our college and on the other side also.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is very good, the campus is nice, and labs and classes are well-equipped with projectors and all. When it comes to the hostel, you'll find that the rooms are comfortable and cleaner than others I've seen.
Faculty: Teachers are very much interactive. The qualified staff is there, and the curriculum is also good. In some cases, the students are industrially sufficient, but not all. It depends on the way we study and our efforts in upskilling ourselves.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue my Master's and further studies in the US. Events are frequent, but not exceptionally high-level. Overall, it is good.

College has good campus and good faculty.
Placements: Every year, 85 students get placed in our course. The average salary package offered ranges from 3.5 LP - 4 LPA. 80% of students got internships in companies like Wipro, TCS, and other good companies. More than 85% of students are getting placed in our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is good in our college. Labs are okay but, some PCs are not working. Classrooms are good, eco-friendly and they maintain cleanness. Library is good with all types of books available and all the books are useful for us.
Faculty: In our college, teachers are very supportive and take care of everyone in college. The college has a bunch of curriculum activities. It makes every student ready for industry. Semester exams are not very difficult.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. We learned about the software applications and others. Course is good but they have to tell students how to improve skills. There are many events held and the campus crowd is very huge. Surroundings are good and students can get scholarships.

It has top-notch faculty and average facilities. We get a mixed bag experience.
Placements: About 90% of students get placed in Angadi College. The highest package ranges from 7-8 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Infosys, TCS, CGI, HP, etc. About 90-100% of students get internships. Top roles offered are software developer, technical support engineer, HR, etc.
Infrastructure: All classrooms are spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with projectors and digital teaching aids. Each department has well-equipped labs. Computer Science and electronics branches have modern labs with updated systems, licensed software, and sufficient hardware kits.
Faculty: Teachers at AITM are helpful, approachable, and willing to assist students outside of class hours, especially during projects, seminars, and placement preparation. Students can reach out to them for academic and career guidance. Faculty members are well-qualified, with many holding M.Tech degrees and some are pursuing or holding PhDs. The course curriculum is affiliated with VTU. While it is academically strong. Some departments have started mini projects, coding platforms, internships, and industry talks to enhance exposure.
Other: I chose computer science because of my interest in technology, coding, and problem-solving. It is a field that continues to evolve and offer vast career opportunities. AITM offers a solid foundation with decent infrastructure and a growing placement track record, which makes it a practical choice. The course curriculum is a bit outdated and could benefit from faster integration of trending tech topics like AI/ML, data science, etc.

The campus has good oxygen. Labs are very good and clean. In library, we have good space to sit and all books are available in the library.
Faculty: We have good faculty. When they teach, students enjoy and will be involved in the subjects. They prepare students to be industry-ready. Semester exams are very easy.
