Commonly asked questions

Q:   Can I expect good salary after doing M.Tech in CSE?
A:

The average M.Tech CSE salary for fresh postgraduate students is somewhere between 4 and 7 Lakh. For mid-senior level positions, the salary range is slightly higher on the basis of the experience and skills acquired by the individuals over a few years. Their salary would be between INR 7 LPA and INR 10 LPA. For senior-level management positions, the salary in the CSE field is more than INR 10 LPA and can go up to INR 20 LPA as well because of the demand for CSE professionals in this age of digitalization.

Top 50 in National Level and Top 5 in State Level - Ashoka.
Placements: 86 percent of students got placed from our branch. 16.43 LPA, 4.8 LPA, and 2.4 LPA are the highest, average and lowest packages. TCS, HSBC, Infosys, Siemens, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Deloitte, etc. As per the academic curriculum, every student must do an internship. Roles offered are software developer and HR for MBA students.
Infrastructure: There are the best facilities and infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available on the campus and in the hostel, but it is very slow in the hostel. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good. We have sports hours in the timetable. College encourages all levels of tournaments sports, and games. Medical facilities and medicine are also available.
Faculty: Faculty is very friendly, highly qualified and they guide us in all aspects. The mentoring system is very useful for us. Smart board teaching and student-engaging, interactive classes to understand concepts easily. There are industrial visits, guest lectures, and workshops by industry experts. Exams are conducted very strictly. Pass percentage is 41 percent.
Other: As VLSI and semiconductor industries are growing, I have chosen ECE. More training related to VLSI and embedded systems is required. We have 1 week of E-Cube fest, which includes technical, project expo, and cultural events. The campus surroundings are very clean. All the talents will be encouraged here.

Absolutely satisfied with the campus life, but the hostel is a bit too strict, which irritates me.
Placements: Actually, before 2021, placements were good enough that almost everyone from a single class (40-50/60) used to get placements. Since it was the start of the training and placements era in the college, it wasn't that tough or complicated a process, but after 4 years, that means right now, it's been very tough to get a placement. It's not like there were no placements at all, but it's very competitive that 10 out of 60 members are getting placements now.
Infrastructure: There is no bad word on infrastructure or food, and as for infrastructure, it is very peaceful and clean. The hostel has 4 types of rooms: AC, deluxe, common rooms, and attached rooms. The AC room has an inbuilt bathroom with hot water, which costs 1 lakh, and 4 members stay in a room. Deluxe rooms have an inbuilt bathroom with hot water, but no AC, and cost Rs. 75,000. Common rooms have inbuilt bathrooms, but no hot water, and 9 members stay in a room. Attached rooms have no AC, no inbuilt bathrooms within, and 9 members stayed in this.
Faculty: Faculty are very friendly and talkative. They might even help with personal guidance and understanding any syllabus-based theory. Every student will be getting great co-operation from teachers, HoDs, and even from the principal, too, if the idea is worthy. Exams are conducted internally since it is an autonomous college, but the external exams are conducted by JNTU itself.
Other: The best thing about our course in this campus is that the placements for the ECE branch are getting wider, and also we're asked to expect industrial-based training too. I wish practical training and internships from the 2nd or 3rd year for the ECE branch would be really good. When it comes to events, an event called E-CUBE includes live concerts, fun events, stalls, and much more. Once a year for 6 days, students will have opportunities to perform, participate, and much more. Other than this, we'll be celebrating New Year, Sankranti, Dandiya Nights, Vinayaka Chavathi, etc.

Satisfied with the teaching.
Placements: 60% of the students were placed in my course. The highest package is 16 LPA, the average package is 8 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. 30% of the students got internships. It's improving year by year from the placements department. The placements department is providing the best companies.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi in the labs and library. The classroom is spacious. Fast food is available in the canteen. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner are provided by the college hostel. The quality of food is average. Sports and games are available in the college. We also have a swimming pool to learn.
Faculty: Many of the teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but a few of the teachers are not helpful and not knowledgeable. I'll rate it 9/10. The course curriculum is relevant. They make us industry-ready. The pass percentage is around 70%. Faculty members are very friendly.

Think placements, Think Ashoka.
Placements: 2021–25 B. Tech (AI/CSE) batch achieved around 80 percent placements. The highest package is 15 LPA, with an average of 4.5 LPA and the lowest at 3 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Accenture. About 65 percent students got internships. Roles offered are software developer, data analyst, and AI engineer.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, and a rich library support learning. Hostels are clean with decent food in mess and canteen, good medical facilities, sports grounds, gym, recreation areas, and 24/7 security for students, good and well secured.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and supportive, with clear and practical teaching methods. The curriculum is updated and industry-relevant, helping students gain job-ready skills. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, with an overall pass percentage of around 85–90 percent.
Other: I’m from the 2022–26 B. Tech AI/CSE batch. I chose this course for strong teaching and career scope. Good fests, active clubs, friendly crowd, decent scholarships, but industry exposure can improve.

Peaceful campus life with a good academic environment.
Placements: In our college, 70-80% of students are placed every year. This year, my college cracked a high package of 16 lacs, and the average package is 3-4 lacs. The top reputed companies that visited my college include Mahindra and HSBC. My college provides many internship opportunities for the students.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure. My college has Wi-Fi facilities, but sometimes the Wi-Fi network has some issues. Classrooms and labs are very clean. My college provides library facilities for students who come to the hostel for food. It is good, and a swimming pool is also available at the hostel.
Faculty: In our college, every faculty member has at least 2-3 years of experience in teaching. In my college, semester exams are conducted based on the curriculum. Every year, the pass percentage of my college is 70-80%. My college is good at academics compared to other colleges.
Other: I chose Computer Science engineering because I am interested in the IT field. My college provides many events to encourage students.

Infrastructure: The facilities that are available are free Wi-Fi, Labs, smart boards in every class, a library, a cafeteria, swimming pool. The quality of the facilities is good, and the food in the hostel and canteen is made and served in a clean manner. There are books in the library for every subject.

Management quota fees differ from convenor quota rates and are higher. The exact amount depends on the branch selected. The management students are not eligible for state-funded scholarships. Do enquire about the exact tuition fees from college admissions office.
