Decent diploma college with supportive faculty, basic infrastructure, and limited placements.

Placements: I am pursuing a Diploma in Civil Engineering. Around 40–50% of students get placed. I got selected in Delhi-TVS during a Chennai campus drive. The highest package is 3.2 LPA, the lowest is 1.5 LPA, and the average is around 2.2 LPA. Most internships are self-arranged with local contractors or government offices. Top roles offered are Site Supervisor, Civil Technician, and Draftsman.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is basic but functional. Civil labs are available but slightly outdated. Classrooms are spacious with fans but no smart boards. The library has relevant books. Hostel rooms are average, and the food quality is okay. Sports and medical facilities are limited, and Wi-Fi is available only in certain areas.

Faculty: Faculty is supportive and has good subject knowledge. The curriculum follows the Diploma board syllabus and helps us understand civil basics well. Exams are of moderate difficulty, and most students pass without much stress. Around 80–85% of students clear each semester successfully.

Other: I chose Civil Engineering because I am interested in the construction field. The best part is gaining technical knowledge with help from the faculty. However, I wish the placement and internship support were better. The total course fee is around Rs. 1,20,000. I would recommend this college to students who are focused and willing to explore off-campus opportunities.
