Assumption College is a gem .
Placements: Our college is more oriented in higher studies. However we got placement offers from the first year itself. First year we got recruitment from Chegg India and most of the people got selected which offered online work so as to take along with our studies. There were also placement offers from Sutherland, TCS, Infosys, etc. There were no internship for economics course.
Infrastructure: We have department Wi-Fi. Classrooms are also good. Library facilities are also provided. There is no department labs but we have common labs. There are five hostels. Hostels are very good. Hostels are very neat and food is good. Assumption college is more famous for it's sports. It is one top sports college in Kerala.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable. All the permanent staffs of our department are Ph.D. scholars. The curriculum is very good. The syllabus is PG oriented. Semesters exam are not liberal. The department is too concerned with academics. The minimum pass mark is 32 out of 100. The exams are strictly evaluated.
Other: Economics is one of most relevant course. There is department fest, mission day, college fest, arts day, merit day, fashion fest etc. There is NCC and NSS. Scholarships are also provided.
