Merit in the qualifying test is the main factor used to determine admission to Bansal Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme. A bachelor's degree in any field must be earned by candidates with at least 50% of the possible points (45% for SC/ST candidates). A candidate's profile can be improved by taking entrance examinations like the CAT, even if BIST takes merit into account for MBA admissions. The MP DTE Counseling Process is used for the final selection, and seats are distributed according to preferences and merit. As a result, BIST typically does not allow straight admission without involvement in the counseling process.
