Strong academics and very good infrastructure for Science students at Sambalpur University.
Placements: About my batch and course, I am currently a student in the botany department, and I have observed that the placement in our course is generally focused on research, agriculture, and biotech sectors. About 50 to 70 percent of the previous passing out batch who were interested in immediate jobs secured placements. The highest package offered in our stream was 4 to 5 LPA, with an average package of around 2 to 3 LPA. The lowest package usually starts with 1.8 LPA for entry-level.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the Science department is excellent. Our Botany labs are well-equipped with modern microscopes, reserved specimen, and all necessary chemicals for practicals, which is very important for our experiments and records. Classrooms are very good and well ventilated provides a good environment for lectures. The central library is also very good and clean, which offers a vast collection of textbooks that helps us during semester exams. Regarding the hostel, the rooms are well-maintained, and Wi-Fi connectivity is available.
Faculty: Faculty members in the botany department are highly qualified and very approachable. They have deep subject knowledge and explain very well to students. The way they teach is very good and easy to understand. The curriculum is well structured and follows the latest university guidelines, making it relevant for students aiming for research and competitive exams. The teachers are very supportive and provide good guidance. The pass percentage is usually quite high, usually above 95 percent for our department.
Other: I chose the botany department because of my deep interest in plant science and agriculture, and a strong academic reputation in sambalpur university. In this field, I wish there were more frequent field trips and industrial visits to botanical gardens and research institutes to give us more industry exposure. The fest occurs frequently throughout the year. It is so fun to enjoy, and the surroundings are very good and well-maintained. The scholarships are available for everyone, and connectivity is very good and fast.

This college is very affordable in rural areas in Kesaibahal which faculty members are great.
Placements: There were no placements in this college, because it was present in the village area, and no company wants to take students to internships. It was semi-government, so it wants to give internships and placements chances to students.
Infrastructure: The facilities were good, there was all the classroom clean with CCTV cameras, and the best possible chair and desk. Many departments were there, many departmental rooms were provided, and science laboratories with each department has its laboratory. In library, there were a lot of books present and good useful reference books were available. There was only a ladies' hostel provided with good rooms and diet foot.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified and passed out from this Universities of Odisha and outside of Odisha. Teaching quality was good because, in Kesaiabahal where the college was present, most students talk in Odia so teachers teaching in Odia simplified the topic. In extra curriculum, there was NSS and YRC present for service. The exams were good because students have to sit under CCTV cameras, and teachers were present and questions are from Sambalpur University because the college was under Sambalpur University affiliation. The average pass percentage was above 90%, because teachers teach very well.
Other: I opted for B.Sc zoology, because I like zoology subjects. In this college, one thing which I wish to improve was that canteen facility, and boys common room. Annual celebrations were held regularly and annual sports day celebrations also occur as well as.
