BIMTECH Celebrates 35th Foundation Day

October 3, 2022: On October 2, which is also recognised as Gandhi Jayanti, BIMTECH celebrates its 35th anniversary of founding. The fact that Gandhi Jayanti falls on the same day as BIMTECH's Foundation Day increases the significance of the day for the organisation and demonstrates its unwavering dedication to the principles of social welfare.

On September 30, a Drama Festival that was put on in conjunction with the Asmita Theatre Group, New Delhi, marked the beginning of the three-day event. The first day featured a powerful street play called "NASHA" about the societal ills of alcoholism and addiction that was performed for the neighbourhood at Birla Vidya Kendra, Pari Chowk. After seeing a play rendition of the system-mocking tale "Moteram Ka Satygrah" by Munshi Premchand in the evening, the consciences of the people of NCR were further stirred. On the second day of the festival, a street drama was presented next to Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida with the same fervour and passion. "Mard" challenged the ideas of traditional masculinity by highlighting how men are socialised to be strong and repress their feelings. The play was able to capture the interest of onlookers and garner a lot of positive feedback from the crowd.

On October 2, the 35th Foundation Day was solemnly observed. The Chief Guest was welcomed, the ceremonial lamps were lit, and the Gandhian ideals of fostering community and social welfare were furthered.

In keeping with its illustrious heritage of encouraging significant contributions to education, the BIMTECH management has bestowed various honours. Eminent academics from private universities received the Basant Kumar Birla Distinguished Scholar Award, 2021, from BIMTECH in honour of the founder for their contributions to business research. This includes Dr Sachin Mangla, O.P. Jindal Global University, Haryana; Dr Shalini Talwar, SPJMIR, Mumbai; and Dr Rajesh K Singh, MDI, Gurgaon a prize amounting to six lakhs.

Deserving teachers at the institute received the "Best Teacher" and "Best Researcher" honours (2021–2022). The dedicated service of several faculty and staff members for more than ten years was also recognised.

The Annual Activity Report for 2022 was also made public by the chief guest. On this historic day, the BIMTECH faculty's books "Women in Education and Work Life" and "Beyond the Beaten Path" were also published. To instil ideals of justice, inclusivity, and social good, the institute organised a traditional community feast for more than 1,000 individuals of various ages and sizes.

An official vote of appreciation was given by Dr. Anupam Varma, BIMTECH's Deputy Director and Dean of Academics, to conclude the festivities.

Dissatisfied as the college doesn't meet the required expectations.

Placements: My batch strength is 72. 56 students got placed, which makes an approximate percentage of 76%. The highest package is 22 LPA. The lowest is 6 LPA. Infosys, Wipro, BlackRock, KPMG, and OXANE Partners come here. Internships are pretty bad, students had to get it from outside sources. There are some top recruiters for internships like Oxaane, KPMG, DIGIT, etc. Top roles are consultant, area sales manager, and financial adviser.

The average placement is 9-10 Lacs with a minimum of 6 Lacs and a maximum of 12-13 Lacs. In the batch of 2025, around 70% of students got placed. College is just average. Look for other options if possible.

Placements: Placements are still fine but internships are pretty bad. Almost 70% of students are forced to take internships from outside by themselves. As of placements, the highest package is 22 LPA and the lowest is around 6 LPA. Companies visiting are ICICI, KPMG, A&M, Marsh, etc.

BIMTECH: the next best choice.

Placements: The placements each year increase, as the placement cell is really efficient here and provides 100% placement. Companies such as KPMG, Bain, Deloitte, and BlackRock come here. The average package is 1,300,000, and the highest package is 2,600,000, which, as a fresher, is good.

Infrastructure is somewhat small, but good. Faculty members are fine too.

Placements: Percentage of placements is somewhat around 97-99%. Although college tries to place each of the students, but the placement quality is very bad this year. Most of what I heard is about the salary package ranging from 7 LPA - 9 LPA. It is really low compared to the return on investment of a student.
